Subscription A - Cost for 10 movies = Subscription fee + Movies * Price per movie = 20 + 5*10 = 70

Subscription B - Cost for 10 movies = Subscription fee + (Movies - 6) * Price per movie = 40 + 4*10 = 80

Cost saved = Total cost for subscription B - Total cost for subscription A = 80 - 10 = 10

Answer : 70 and 10

When choosing opt A:
Jordan spends = 20 + (5*10)= $70
While for B: Jordan spends = 40 + 4*10=$80

Therefore first answer is $70 for first and savings is $10(second answer)

Sub (A)- 20/month, Sub(B)-40/month,
Extra amount paid per ticket for Subscription A= 5/ticket.
Extra amount paid per ticket for Subscription B (per ticket after watching 6 movies for free)= 10/ticket.

therefore,
Total amount paid for Subscription A for watching 10 movies= 20+5x10= 70
Total amount paid for Subscription B for watching 10 movies= 40+ 4x10= 80. (4= remaining movies after watching 6 free movies.)
Money saved= 80-70= 10

Subscription A:
Monthly fee: $20
10 movies x $5/ticket = $50
=> Total Sub A = $70

Subscription B:
Monthly fee:$40
4 remaining movies not included in the Monthly fee (7th, 8th,9th and 10th) * $10/ticket = $40
Total Sub B: $80

Difference between Sub A and Sub B is $80-$70=$10

Jordan is considering two subscription options for attending movies at a local theater. Subscription A has a monthly fee of $20 and charges $5 per ticket for each movie. Subscription B has a monthly fee of $40, allowing him to watch up to 6 movies per month at no additional cost, with a $10 charge per ticket for any movies beyond the 6. Jordan estimates he will watch 10 movies each month.

Select for Cost for Subscription A the total cost of Subscription A for watching 10 movies, and select for Amount Saved the total amount saved by Jordan by choosing Subscription A over Subscription B for watching 10 movies. Make only two selections, one in each column.

Cost of subscription A for watching 10 movies each month = $20 + $5*10 = $70
Cost of subscription B for watching 10 movies each month = $40 + $10*(10-6) = $80
Amount saved = $80 - $70 = $10

Cost for Subscription AAmount Saved
$70$10

Let t be total number of movies watched.

Subscription A: 20 + 5*t

Subscription B: 40 + 10 * (t-6)

Jordan watches 10 movies.

Cost for Subscription A: 20 + 5*10 = 70

Amount Saved => Cost for Subscription B - Cost for Subscription A => [40 + 10 * (10-6)] - 70 = 10

Cost for 10 movies with Subscription A
$20 + $5(10 movies) = $70

Cost for 10 movies with Subscription B
$40 + $10(4 movies) = $80 (as 6 movies are covered in the subscription B, only for rest 4 movies he has to pay)
He saved $10 by choosing Subscription A over Subscription B
And the total cost for Subscription A cost is $70

Select for Cost for Subscription A the total cost of Subscription A for watching 10 movies, and select for Amount Saved the total amount saved by Jordan by choosing Subscription A over Subscription B for watching 10 movies. Make only two selections, one in each column.
Step 1: Calculate the total cost of Subscription A for 10 movies
  • Monthly fee: $20
  • Ticket cost: $5 per movie
  • Total cost for 10 movies: 20+(10×5)=20+50=7020 + (10 \times 5) = 20 + 50 = 70
Cost for Subscription A: $70
[hr]
Step 2: Calculate the total cost of Subscription B for 10 movies
  • Monthly fee: $40
  • First 6 movies: Included in the monthly fee
  • Additional 4 movies: $10 per movie
  • Total cost for 10 movies: 40+(4×10)=40+40=8040 + (4 \times 10) = 40 + 40 = 80
[hr]
Step 3: Calculate the amount saved by choosing Subscription A
  • Cost of Subscription A: $70
  • Cost of Subscription B: $80
  • Amount saved: 80−70=1080 - 70 = 10
Amount Saved: $10

cost for Subscription A: $20 (monthly fee) + $5/movie * 10 movies = $70
Amount Saved: Subscription B would cost $40 (monthly fee) + $10/movie * 4 movies (since he can only watch 6 movies for free) = $80.
So, Jordan saves $80 - $70 = $10 by choosing Subscription
