730/3.5/4 years upon matriculation in financial services at blue-chip companies (started in back office but most of the time was spent across middle office teams across asset classes)
Educational Background
Undergrad degree (STEM) from T20 US Undergrad (i.e. NYU, Emory, WashU, Vanderbilt, CMU, USC)
Post MBA goals
Investment Banking
Schools you are applying to
Applied to 4 M7 schools and Tuck. Fortunate to be attending Booth. My results show you need a little bit of luck and that it is a numbers game!
Biggest regret, being an extravert/Poet was not applying to Kellogg and choosing HBS instead (relatively unrealistic of me given my goal for investment banking, HBS is overkill)
(Optional) Anything else?
I had a few employee awards on my application but idk if they really helped much, even though they were very impressive awards given to me by my bank.
For ORMs/Indians I recommend not giving up until you get a 730+ GMAT. Don't even think about school choice until you get this score.
Also recommend consistent EC involvement starting within a year after you graduate undergrad for best results.
If you can join an affinity group or network at your company thats great! but supplement with an opportunity outside of work.
At work, try to get staffed on projects where you cite big impact on your resume (whether it is with $ amounts or #s in general).

Post MBA goals: Work in Strategical management company and Consulting Company.
Schools you are applying to: Harvard, NYU Stern, ISB, Columbia,Yale SOM (looking forward for deferred MBA program)
Professional, educational or personal milestones you have achieved: Have been rewarded with many awards and certificates for scoring top 3 ranks in academics throughout semesters,was a batch topper and got rewards for same.
Have many excellence certifications regarding extra curricular activities done and participated throughout school and college life.
Anything else?
Love to read and write, so is a hobbyist blogger. Looking forward to publish my own book someday.
