After 2 back to back faliures, achieved 700+ in 3rd attempt

1st Attempt:

I prepared for GMAT for 6 months and gave GMAT in Feb 2019. I had taken Magoosh whole course, e-gmat course for verbal & Experts Global mocks. I scored 700+ multiple times in experts global mocks. I was very confident. I went to give test and was shocked to see a score of 630. I was excepting at least 690. This score was shocker.

630 Q45 V31 (Feb 2019)

2nd Attempt:

I recollected myself and started studying again. I got ESR report and saw my Verbal was very much imbalanced. I got 90% percentile in RC, 70% in CR and 30% in SC. Hence I started working on my SC. Solved many questions from GMAT club, alteast 200. Revised many concepts. Worked on backlogs.

I gave GMAT Prep Official mocks:

1st mock: 690 Q47 V37
2nd mock: 700 Q47 V40

Went again this time hoping I will get better. When result came out

I got 640. Q47 V31 (July 2019)

Once again Verbal ditched me. I thought I have lost it. I lost all confidence. I didnt feel like studying. I wanted to quit GMAT dream. I saw no future in trying again.


3rd Attempt :

Somehow I thought I will give a last try. I was contacted by Rich from EmpowerGMAT. He asked my ESR reports. I sent them to him. He anaylzed them and informed me what all was missing in my exam. He made me realise that all mistakes both the times were same. The pattern I followed was same. He told me what all I need to work on.

This was the turning point. I will always be thankful to Rich from EmpowerGMAT. Today the score I have, he is a big reason behind it.

Rich, pointed out that I needed to work a lot on my SC and he told me correct strategy aswell. I subscribed to Empower GMAT and learned the tricks that were given there on how to improve score. All this helped me a lot. I practiced only Official Questions from GMAT Club. I am sure, I have worked on almost all Official SC and CR questions that ate there on GMAT Club. I tried to change the pattern that Rich told me I was using in previous attempts and tried to change it।

I bought Official 3 & 4 tests also. I studied Empower GMAT for few months then gave mocks.

GMAT OFFICIAL MOCK 3: 710
GMAT OFFICIAL MOCK 4: 690

Now, was the day of final exam. I was very nervous because I was sure i will not try again easily if I fail this time aswell.

I just revised all the techniques from Empower GMAT. While giving exam also, I made sure that I am not doing those mistakes again that Rich told me that i was doing.

And then in the end result flashed.

Was this real ? I was literally in tears ! After seeing faliures 2 times... Finally I achieved what I swt out too. I was tired of failing, this success was something new.
