(B) "Dug during ...." is referring to "the hills" after the comma. And no grammatical or meaning issue in the rest of the sentence. Hence correct option.
(C) This sentence is conveying that "hundreds of copper mines" are doing the action of "dotting" on the hills, which is illogical
(D) This sentence is conveying that:- "hundreds of copper mines" were "dug during the Greenwood copper boom a century ago", which is illogical.
(E) The action of digging was completed a century ago, so "which are dug" is wrong in the sentence
