sorry i forgot to mention my CGPA, I have updated the message.

Hi Shimri and ARINGO team,

Thank you for hosting this live profile evaluation session.

Here are my details:

Pre-MBA Role/Industry: Senior Analyst in technology/IP research with experience in AI workflows, patent analysis, and structured problem-solving
Years of Experience (YOE): ~3+ years, will be 4.5 at the time of matriculation
Exam Score: Preparing for GMAT (targeting 675+)
Cumulative GPA: 7.8 (mechanical and automation engineering from GGSIPU)
Extracurriculars (ECs): Mentorship, academic initiatives, and structured learning programs (including McKinsey Forward Program)
Post-MBA Goals: Transition into Product Management / Tech Strategy roles at global firms (e.g., Big Tech / industrial tech companies)
Target Schools: M7, Ivy leagues, T-15, INSEAD, HEC Paris.
Hi Kshitij1122, thanks for sharing the update, this helps.
That said, I’m still missing a few important details to properly assess your chances, such as your country of origin, gender, actual GMAT score (I know you dont have this yet) , company brands, international exposure, and any managerial or leadership experience.

From what you have wrote
You have a solid and relevant background for your stated goals in Product Management and Tech Strategy, especially with your experience in AI and structured problem-solving.

For now, I would strongly suggest focusing on achieving a high GMAT score, as this will be a key factor for your target schools, especially given your GPA.

Once you have your final GMAT score, feel free to reach out on [email protected] with your CV and the additional details, and I’d be happy to provide a more thorough profile assessment.

Hi BossSkill (love the name!), thanks for sharing your profile.

You have a strong academic foundation !
and your current experience in consulting and private equity is relevant for your targets and sounds very impressive!

As you probably know, the main point to address is the 6-year UPSC preparation gap. This isn’t necessarily negative, but you will need to frame it clearly in terms of what you learned, how you grew, and how it led you to your current path.

Your GPA is on the lower side, so your test score will be important to strengthen your profile.

I’m still missing a few details like test scores, leadership experience, and extracurricular involvement, which are important for a deeper evaluation.
I’d suggest focusing on your test score for now.
GOOD LUCK!

Hi JoeJose, thanks for sharing your profile.

You have a strong overall background with NIT Warangal and IIM Mumbai, along with solid experience from tier 1 brands like Deloitte, and now Optum. a good mix of engineering, consulting, and project management positions !!!

Your GMAT will play an important role. A 680 (GMAT FE, yes?) is competitive, but pushing higher would strengthen your chances, especially for schools like Kellogg, Yale, and Duke.

Your career progression looks good, and moving into a project manager role adds a leadership dimension.
Overall, you are a competitive candidate for your target schools (if u manage to score above the school averages on the GMAT), with stronger chances in the mid-to-top-tier US programs and good potential for Kellogg’s 1Y if execution is strong.

I’m still missing some details like international exposure, extracurriculars, and leadership outside of work, which can make a difference.
I suggest, once you complete your GMAT, you send me your CV, GMAT score and any other info, and I can perhaps assist you to create some kick ass applications :)

Hi, thanks for sharing your profile.

You bring a strong foundation in fashion and retail, I LOVE IT!!! (I have worked with a few buyers from the fashion industry and business schools LOVE this profile!!!) What I love most are the international brands you can mention (Armani is always good...), which is a clear strength for your target schools.
The family business also adds an interesting business development angle, especially if you are driving growth or client acquisition.

At the same time, I am still missing a few important details needed for a proper assessment, such as your exact GMAT score once available, international exposure, scale and impact of your current business role, and clearer leadership experience.

The mixed list of schools (see our stats on these schools https://aringo.com/aringo-mba-admission-statistics/ :) seems good (NYU Fashion MBA? or "regular"?) Kellogg and Columbia might be tough (and will require a high GMAT) but INSEAD is a bit easier and IE much... so definitely aim high, keep this list and for now focus on the GMAT

Once you have your GMAT or want to start working on your apps (not later than June for R1) please reach out again for a detailed profile evaluation. I am always on [email protected]

Hi, thanks for sharing your profile.

You have a solid and relevant background and investment banking is always good for MBAs 😊
Especially with 4 years in capital markets at a top Canadian bank!

The progression from rotation program to senior analyst also shows good development – well done!!

I am not too worried about your undergraduate GPA . but it does put some extra weight on your GMAT ... Luckily, a 675 is decent and within range of all your targets, though a slightly higher score would further strengthen your competitiveness

Your post-MBA goal in investment banking is well aligned with your current experience, which is a strong point. Still, we need to show the shcools “why MBA”...

Overall, you are very competitive for schools like Darden and UCLA and Cornell (where I would even expect a scholarship if you write an amazing application!) and within the target range for Stern and Columbia (although more challenging) and will require very strong storytelling,

Happy to help you create some stellar applications! Email me your CV and any other info on [email protected] and we can discuss your applications in greater length
GOOD LUCK!
