Shimri from ARINGO here.

INSEAD can place candidates on the waitlist either before or after the alumni interview stage. Both scenarios happen, and they’re actually quite common across many top schools.

Sometimes the admissions team wants to move forward with other candidates first and circle back later, so they’ll waitlist someone before interviews. Other times, they’ll complete the interview process and then decide that the candidate should be held for further review, which leads to a post‐interview waitlist.

So yes, both types of waitlists are normal at INSEAD and at most other MBA programs.

Hi, I need some help here if possible.

I have got an admit from SDA Bocconi Milan. (10% Scholarship) My Target industry post MBA is Travel and Tourism or Consulting. I want to stay in europe after MBA atleast I can payoff my loans. My expense will be upwards of 1,00,000 Euros including everything all of which I will take a loan for.
I am confused on what to pick and need some suggestions here.

Option 1. Go with Bocconi... Pro- 1. Have an admit - no more wasting time 2. Good Prestige. | Con: 1. Its Italy, Bad Job market and language barrier 2. Its a lot of money.

Option 2. I apply to a lower ranked school in a better Geography. Example - Mannheim/ESMT - Less fees, better geography but not as prestigious as bocconi

Option 3. I reject Bocconi, try to improve my score (GRE 323) and apply in sept for other better schools. ..Con - I am running a passion project where I organise group trips from europe to India.. This is not formal employment but this is how I am earning money for the past 1 year. I am not sure if this is seen something trying to cover up an employment gap.

Iam turning 24 this december and i am from india. I completed my 10th (ICSE) 89% and 12th 92% (cbse) and bcom (graduation ) 3 year programme , I completed in 5 years due to backlogs and i have exact 50%. My graduation was supposed to be completed in 2023 but my certificate shows 2025 cuz i cleared the backlogs in 2025

so i have 6 months exp in sales in 2024 and then i joined an org. in may 2024 and till now working with them as a recruiter. this is a small consultancy catering to africa, middle east hiring and some domestic hiring. We majorly cater to leadership hiring

This is completely non tech.

So I deal with end to end recruitment, sometimes dealing with clients directly also and I have done talent mapping, preparing the org structure of companies for sales function, data gathering and market analysis .. to identify the remuneration and market strength

GRE/ GMAT what percentile I should hit

and what are the uni’s I can target

I do have to give IELTS and GMAT/ GRE for sure

No volunteering exp. or such till now

Any chance of targeting the top B schools
