Did anyone interview/got accepted at UCLA? Just received an e-mail by admissions, which is in line with previous years for Anderson, but kinda contradicts an earlier e-mail that they sent announcing a Dec. 15th decision...

"Thank you for your continued interest in UCLA Anderson and The Consortium. Our students and staff really enjoyed getting to know you throughout the admissions process. Now that you have completed your interview, we are continuing with the evaluation of your application, and will contact you if we have any additional questions. We anticipate a final decision on your application by late January. Consortium fellowship and membership decisions will be released in March."

I got into Virginia Darden last week, but there was no mention of membership or fellowship. Has anyone applying to Darden from Round 1 gotten in and receive the fellowship?

On my admissions page, it shows a link to the CGSM Facebook group so I am a little confused on the status of my fellowship/membership with Darden. Has anyone heard from Virginia on this?

Also, how likely is it to get a fellowship in March if the school did not opt to give you the fellowship when first admitted?

Do you have a letter on the homepage of the CGSM website? I'm not sure about membership but for myself and several of my friends who received the fellowship, there's a letter there that spells out details regarding the fellowship and congratulating me for the accomplishment.

For your last question, I heard an AO for a CGSM school say that if you get the fellowship R1, you're super strong and they feel totally confident about your candidacy and if you aren't strong you will be denied. He stated that for some candidates, the admissions committee is unsure about the strength of your app and how it will fare out (against the rest of the pool that will be submitting in R2). So, the school holds off on offering you the fellowship until the draft. So to answer your question, after they get all of the R2 apps, they can come back and offer it to you. I would say it's more unlikely but, yes, it does happen.

After 3 back to back dings I'm glad to have secured a second admit from a consortium school. For those that go through this process just remember don't take the dings personal just because one school doesn't see things you in it doesn't mean others won't.

I'm still slightly confused how some schools give out the fellowship during R1 and others wait until the draft.

I'm still slightly confused how some schools give out the fellowship during R1 and others wait until the draft.

My understanding is that the school has to be your number one choice. If you didn't get into you number one school or if they passed on you for the fellowship, then you have to wait for the draft where the other schools get a chance to give it to you. If you didn't rank Johnson as #1 then they have to wait till March.

Yes - I received a consortium fellow for Darden in round 1

If you received the fellowship, there would be two links when you open your decision: The first link congratulates you on your acceptance, and the second link details the consortium fellowship.

Just received the call from Marshall. They told me straight up they weren't able to give me the fellowship since I hadn't ranked them first haha, kind of awkward.

I was accepted as well and they were pretty clear that I did not get fellowship. I was pretty bummed because I thought they wouldn't decide until the draft if I didn't rank them number 1.
