How long did it take for you all to get your UNI/E-mail? Thanks!

I don't remember exactly but I think about 4-5 business days. I got my PID within about 24 hours.

Great. I got the acceptance call yesterday, and was just wondering when I will get my PID. I wish the UNI had been activated already since I am right now full of questions which I am sure will be answered once I have access to the portal.

I haven't told work colleagues yet about this, so in a way, prefer this forum to a facebook group (It will turn up on all their feeds that I joined a Columbia Admitted Students group).

Anyone from Singapore here?

Not at the moment, but if the interest is there then we can go ahead and start one.

If there is anyone in Europe who would like to meet up between now and the summer let me know. I am an American living near Frankfurt but I am happy to travel for a weekend if the schedules work out.

It will also help to make plans pre-mba for traveling etc..

I'm probably taking some months off to travel to Asia and Europe so would be pretty cool to meet up with future CBS folks

Cheers!

More than happy to catch up with any of you visiting India.

Has anyone from India made the USD 6K payment yet? I need some guidance on how to make an outward remittance based in India.

Sounds good to me, send me a PM and we can get something going

Where do you see information about a student weekend in December? I thought it was typically in February, or are we talking about two different things?

I think jlgdr was referring to setting up an informal "admit weekend" for anyone who is in the NYC area, or traveling to NYC i December, rather than an official CBS sponsored event.

WNoyes - You are correct, it is typically later in the year, with to my understanding, one in February and another in April (allows multiple rounds of students to check out the school). This link is from 2013, but shows when the typical admit weekend dates have been (all-mba-admit-weekends-145577.html)

Thanks. You know I actually thought that the official Admin weekend official was on December but I guess February then :)

Has anyone else received their CBS email address? Are we supposed to login to the 'admitted students' site with it? Not sure whether we're supposed to get a password too?

I have the same question. As I understand it, they set up our Columbia email address to forward automatically to the email address we used for the application. Could anyone confirm that?
As for the admitted student website, you are supposed to use your lifetime ID, which will be sent to you via email.

Has anyone gotten their UNI code?

Just to chime in on this topic, I still haven'r recieved any other info (email, lifetime ID) apart from the UNI code or whatever it is called that you use by the time you make your first deposit.

If anyone has been able to enter the admitted student website please let us know the right procedures as it is not too clear to me either

Thanks

Cheers!
J

Actually I must correct my last reply. I have received my email address however I don't know how to access the admitted student webpage with my address since my user doesn't seem to work and I don't know how to create one. Have any of you guys been able to sort this out?

I didn't get an email but I just checked my account and I now have the PID, UNI and lifetime email. Does anyone know what the default password is or where that comes from? As a somewhat unrelated note I went to the Frankfurt information session last night that was hosted by an alum from '85 and the CBS director of admissions (Christina Shelby). She said that if the site isn't up yet then it should be in the next week.

Overall the info session was amazing. Tons of really talented but super down to earth people there to learn about the school and a really welcoming environment. Christina took extra time to welcome my girlfriend who will be coming to NYC with me which was a really nice touch. I know they talk a lot about community but if the program itself is even half as warm as last night I am 100% confident that this is hands down the right place for me.

The admitted student website is up and running. I have been accessing it for the past two weeks, they have a great to do list in it for all the pre MBA stuff you need to finalise. The admissions office sent me an email with a link to set up my password. Hope that helps

What is the student website? Were exactly do you see this? Could you please provide the link?

I'm trying this one but it says not authorized, anyone know what I need to do here?

It actuallly prompts me to a page where it asks for user name (Name17) supposedly and a password but it doesn't seems to be working at all...

Thanks!
Cheers

Another question were can I find my lifetime ID? Or create one? I have my PID and Lifetime email but I'm pretty sure they ask for Lifetime Id (JSmith10) to access...

I'm trying with MyName17 and it doesn't seem to be working....

For https://www4.gsb.columbia.edu/mba/admitted use the original email that you provided in the application to login. You should have received an email from Columbia informing you to login using your original email and also a link where you can setup the password.

Also, did you guys end up creating the Facebook group?

If not, you guys can forward me your emails / names and I'll create one, add you guys and post the link on here. If you guys did then please let me know and I'll PM you my details. Thanks.

Also, how long does it take to get your PID? I haven't received it yet and I submitted my offer form (online) without PID. Now I need to wait for it to send my deposit.. Did you guys receive it immediately?
