Hello MBAaspirant21 and hemalthacker I am from India as well..
Have you made your decision for Babson?
I have been hearing that babson is good only for those who intend to pursue entrepreneurship at any point in life. I have slightly different goals. Anyone like me?

Hi zozoo,

Babson is really good for entrepreneurship, since is it has a location advantage, so fair job opportunities as well.
Only that, it is way too expensive, I also discussed with few other Indian admit candidates.

I am doubtful whether I will pick Babson, unless I find some financial aid.

How about you? what's your story?

FROM Babson Admissions Blog: Happy New 2015 and some great news for all part-time MBA candidates
Happy New 2015! I hope the New Year is off to a successful start for you. It has been a very busy time for the Graduate Admissions team – the Round 2 deadline for the One-Year MBA, Two-Year MBA and MSM brought in a very large volume of applications. Very exciting! But my post today won’t be about the full-time programs but rather I would like to share some wonderful news with all working professionals who are considering our Blended Learning and Evening MBA programs.

At Babson, we place great focus on the resources and support we provide to our part-time MBA students.  Our Evening and Blended Learning MBA students are taught by the same great faculty with the same cutting edge curriculum our full-time students do. They also have full access to all the academic centers, the student run clubs and forums as well as the Center for Career Development. And now we are proud to announce that we are introducing new, merit-based scholarships for working professionals enrolled in the part-time MBA programs at Babson. We know how important the question of financing your degree is and we are proud to be able to offer this additional level of assistance. If being considered for merit aid is important to you – and it should be! – please be in touch with any questions.

We all have our own goals. Live yours.

Does anyone know if we also need to send the official TOEFL score to the school? I've mentioned it in the online application. Do we also need to send it to the school?

I believe you have to send the official TOEFL as well as GMAT, but as far as I know you can do it after the admission decision. For the application review unofficial score report should be enough, just upload a PDF file to an appropriate field in the application.

Hello

One of you asked me my interview experience, I think its better to post here as others also get to benefit from it.
My interview was in mid November, so I don't recall much. Here is what I recall:

It was a blind interview, meaning the interviewer had not read my essays and was a second year student.

1. It started with my introduction and why I made specific career choices. Specifically why I chose to pursue a particular degree during bachelors and why I chose my job.
2. An obvious next question was Why MBA, goals post MBA.
3. Why Babson, How will I contribute to Babson?
4. Briefly tell about work experience
5. What is my definition of Leadership.
6. What will I do if I don't get a job at the US post MBA?
7. Anything else I want to tell to Admissions committee which wasn't covered during the interview.

They have a large number of questions and they expect crisp answers as they need to finish off within some 40-45 mins.
All The very Best!!

FROM Babson Admissions Blog: Four Interview Tips
This week the Graduate Admissions suite in Olin Hall has been such a busy place! Every day we have dozens of Round 2 candidates coming for their admissions interview. This interview intense period will continue over the next couple of weeks so I thought I would offer 4 quick tips to anyone who is unsure what to expect or is outright nervous about their admissions interview:

1) Why do we interview? Babson is a small community of very engaged students where teamwork and collaboration are a major part of your MBA experience and growth. Fit is extremely important to us. We want to know how you will engage and what you will contribute.

2) How will you know if you are selected for an interview? Invitations go out by email and are posted on your Babson Bridge.  Make sure to check both and check frequently as interview invites are going out in batches at different times of the week.

3) How long is the interview? You should expect 30-45 mins of questions in a somewhat conversational format. There will also be some time allotted for you to ask questions at the end.

4) How should you prepare? Know the main points you want to make. Have solid examples. Practice so you can be articulate and concise. Follow the interviewer’s lead. Most importantly – know your story and how to link your experience, skills and knowledge into a cohesive picture.

If you think this is helpful – leave a comment to let me know. And good luck on your interview!

We all have our own goals. Live yours.

I think they won't send decisions until February 20th. Anyone know how was for the Round 1?

I was also interview a few weeks ago already (on January 15th), GPA 4.0 and GMAT 730.
Didn't hear anything from them yet. I guess we will all hear from them of February 20th. I tried logging in to the Babson Bridge, nothing new there as well
