FYI, Round 1 waitlisted applicants are also getting some decisions from Booth today. I see at least 1 Round 1 waitlisted applicant getting admission. You can follow all the latest updates from Booth in the following chat room https://gmatclub.com/forum/mchat.php?room_id=50050042
hi! did anyone on the WL inform admissions of another offer? If so, did you just email them? The update form only seems to allow for updated test scores and updated resumes. what if you just want to share other information with them in the form of text?

Probably the adcom is not interested to know if WL candidate has another offer. In other word, adcom wouldn’t take this candidate just because someone else wants to take him. This is kind of naive may be?
and I don’t think it is necessary for WL candidate to tell the adcom that whichever school gives you an offer. Otherwise the message the candidate send to the adcom is "Hey, xxx and xxx program want to have me, so you should also take me too"
i definitely dont think people phrase it as "xx programs want to have me you should too" but more to communicate that you have a deadline for another school. for example kellogg explicitly asks you to let them know if you have other offers and when the deadlines are

Oh... When I say "message" it doesn’t mean the actual message that you type out in email/letter. But the implicit meaning that the adcom will get.
I understand that there are some programs may want to know if the applicant has other offer, but unless explicitly requested, otherwise my advice is not to give
and you are right, definitely no one phrase it that way, so that is definitely what I mean
Same yay people !! we got this, they haven’t released the date and time right? Just asked us to give time preference

GMAT: 720, Q48, V40; GPA: 3.74; WE: 46 months; United States, CA; via Portal_update Very excited about this. It was the second decision that I received (the first was a rejection). Feel humbled to be considered further as a candidate. Will put my best foot forward from here & hope for the best. [#permalink]
