You should be proud! Now it is time to relax.

To think what you could have done if you didn't have such a **** score!
Oh believe me, I am SO RELIEVED. Mostly because I absolutely hate writing essays - the GMAT was brutal but doable, the recommendation letters came super easily because my managers are awesome but the essays, my god, the essays.

Congrats! Happy for you that you got your first choice! All the rest of us are anxiously waiting!

ED? It hasn't even been three weeks. If you look back through the thread most people were closer to 4 weeks until they heard. I wouldn't start worrying until you get past next week.

Also, I applied the 2nd and am still waiting as well but I don't expect to hear anything for at least another two weeks.

Good luck. I honestly wouldn't start worrying unless you still haven't heard in another two weeks from today. Remember the timelines get longer as the applications increase, which happens the closer we get to the deadline. So even though most of the people ITT were 3-4 week timelines, they had several weeks on you.

Thanks, mate. Someone that applied on the 27th Aug got the interview email on 17th Sep. I'm still hopeful, but if I don't hear back from Columbia in the next few days, I will move on. Good luck with your application.

Hi All,
I am applying to the Columbia full time mba this fall. I have a 750 on my GMAT. All my career goals and ambitions are set in place.
However to draft the application essays properly, I need to have a discussion with someone who is studying or studied in Columbia. This will help me in getting some valuable insider info that I can put in my essay.
Can any of you help me out here.

Pleasee!!! Do ping me if anyone can extend some help. :)

Regards
Eudoxia

I would recommend using the 'Search for a Student' tool. You can find current students to reach out to, and even filter by area of study, clubs, and location.

Rejected 5 weeks exactly after applying (8/17 to 9/21), without interview. Pretty shocked, but knew it was coming for the past couple weeks, obviously. Just can't believe I didn't get at least an interview, considering my application and the ED timeline.

Stats:
Hispanic male
25, 26 at matriculation
720 GMAT (48Q, 41V)
3.5 GPA, non-HPS Ivy
2 years F100 Corporate Strategy, 2 years boutique consulting (promoted once at each job)
Co-founder of non-profit
Strong essays and recommendations

No idea what I missed here - put a strong emphasis on why Columbia, why NYC, and very clear (and obtainable) career goals.

Oh well, on to the next one. Numbers game, I suppose.

Objectively, you look like a great candidate and have hit all the points to at least warrant an interview invite. Now I'm very worried...it's been 3 weeks and 1 business day.
