Our goal for interviewed applicants is to render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed. It is our goal that all reviews are within these timelines. I suggest that candidates reach out to us if their application is outside of the six week timeline, but before doing so they should check their application status page for their complete date . Regarding the interview, it is two weeks from when the interviewer has submitted the interview feedback, not the date of the interview, so applicants should keep that in mind as well. A month start to finish - good luck to all of you!

I would like to say one thing - many people, including admission consultants, thought CBS would be a stretch for my 'profile'. I realize now how important it is to really just have a clear story about why you're doing an MBA and why this school makes sense.

Just out of curiosity, is flagging applicant a thing? I mean, there's a difference between making sure everything is okay vs. following up every other day... I don't think simply a couple call will get you red flagged...but that's just me

No one would have any such "proof" as CBS does not provide applicant feedbacks. Additionally, admissions usually encourage students to contact them for questions. So unless you become a big pain for them by emailing them every day in addition to a call a day to their offices, it should be fine. It is all about carrying yourself professionally right from the time you submit your application to the final admit.

Ya'll are probably right, since they ask for the name and reference number when you email them I imagined them keeping a log of times I contacted them. Since I was able to get a good answer, and the one I suspected when I wrote the post there is no reason to contact them and have another annotation on my application.

They seem to be sticking to the whole three week thing though, at least they have for people who applied as late as the 23rd. Perhaps they just received a deluge of applications in the last two weeks before the deadline.

A small query - I'm from India and I have a B.Sc degree. This degree takes three years to complete, as opposed to four years as is the norm. Columbia has not given clear information whether they'd consider my application or not. I intend to call them up and ask about this but anyone here know whether I can apply?
