pratyush86, likely people who updated their tracker now. Clearadmit shows zero movement for R2.

Merit Scholarship always helps to showcase your academic talent to recruiters. Since Johnson and Marshall have almost next to no difference in terms of education quality and placements - you can go for Marshall.

I have exactly the sane opinion!

MBAHopeful9876 Just my 2 cents...
I would suggest talking to current 2 years and alumni from Johnson to understand how their Tech placements are going. I spoke to a few recent alums when I was preparing my application and the general consensus was that Johnson's Ithaca programs are still struggling a bit when it comes to Tech placements. But also that things seem to be improving. Definitely, those improvements will take time.

Also - there's a popular GMATclub post about Financial Aid Consideration curve. Perhaps you can check that out to see if the additional money for Johnson makes sense in your case. You could also try asking Marshall for more money, tell them about your admit from Johnson. As per my understanding, Marshall has consistently been doing well for Tech recruiting (irrespective of the rankings debate).

That’s a brutally honest review and I’d love to have a conversation about some of these points. I’ve had similar concerns and appreciate that you had the nerve to be so blunt.

I’d be skeptical of such reviews. Looks like this person just joined gmatclub to post this review. While I’m not saying he/she could be wrong, the alumni I spoke to seem to have loved the program. Even institutions such as Harvard have been slapped with similar allegations before. Critical thinking is absolutely necessary in academia but we don’t know what this individual’s views are, and what political correctness he had to endure. I’d learn more before giving credence to such criticisms, especially when it comes from someone disgruntled.

Take any reviews on the internet with a grain of salt - Johnson cannot be a top-ranked program if even 1 of these allegations were true. Plus if you look at the joining date of the reviewer and his/her activity history - then it is clear that someone is just messing around. There is one more reviewer with similar allegations but he has posted the review in 2020 while having graduated in 2014 - I mean why would you wait for 6/7 years to come back and post these?

I have heard frustration with the administration from current students as well. I sent the poster a pm as well if he’s be interested in discussions of course I take it with a grain of salt, just trying to collect as much information as possible.

Even MIT drew serious flak, when covid broke couple of years ago, for their demeanor with students. Check this article:

https://poetsandquants.com/2020/06/06/m ... pplicants/

But does that make their program any less desirable? my problem is not with honest reviews, it is with those comments that sound like a smear campaign. Not every aspect of every program will be liked by everyone, doesn’t mean you literally start discrediting your own institution.

Often a lot of stick Johnson (and even Tuck) gets is due to the isolated location. Smaller class sizes plus a community where you keep running into classmates means if you grow sour of your classmates initially you’ll have a very difficult two years. But what I’ve heard from alums is that if you’re ready to put the efforts at a professional and personal level, you have all the ingredients to thrive

Hi everyone, I’m confused with the definition of initial notification and final notification date. Does it mean that the invitation starts rolling out after the initial notification date 3/19?
