interviewed on 9th feb, i havent heard anything from cornell either. Hang in tight guys we will hear something soon.

I haven’t heard anything either, gentlemen. Let’s hang in there. I had my interview on February 26th.

I’m from America.

Sounds like a ton of end of February interviews haven’t received their decision.

So apparently, if you’re eligible for the Park fellowship, you will be invited to apply for that before an admission decision is made? Does anyone else think this is weird? If I’m under consideration for full-tuition, it would seem like that automatically means I’m at least good enough for admission. Can anyone explain this?

You can still get full ride without park and you have to be us permanent resident to even be qualified for Roy Park so it’s not meant to be for everyone

Guys, any fellow admits looking to not accept the offer?

I’

I’m wondering if we can just not pay the enrolment fee by deadline or should we mail them. Not interested in going as the recruiting is too bad in comparison to similarly ranked programs, specially poor for top recruiting industries incl Consulting, Finance and Tech which was already nothing special at Johnson

You can go in and click deny the offer

If you are not going, it might be good to decline when you feel like it so the adcom can release your seat for those WL (but of course, the admit is yours so do as you feel needed) :)

you’re right I heard that these guys waitlist people a lot to control yield rate. I think it is specifically required this year basis reasons I stated above as yield rate’s gonna be too bad for them either ways

Depending on how you define "struggling" but consulting placement rate for internships this year is around 50% get offer (latest stat this month) and banking is around 60-65% get offer.

Yeah. And for internationals the rate is worse even for internships. from internships how many guys will make it, difficult to say for Cornell. I think ranking will be affected if this is persistent for a third year

It’s predominantly because Johnson is not a core school for MBB

They were doing well in COVID year because they were overhiring

now that they have to cut hiring, non-CORE school are suffering more

Example: Mckinsey has 1 recruiter assigned to Johnson whereas Darden/Tuck/Kellogg/Booth etc has 4 (Yale has 3 for reference)

Consulting was hit hard, banking was hit as well but some narrative about banking here were overblown - it was impacted but they still did okay considering the current climate

Can anyone share sources for these internship numbers and recruiter assignment numbers? All I can see is the jobs report from 2023, which had a 94% placement rate
