Calling all Cornell Johnson MBA Applicants: 2024 Intake Class of 2026 [#permalink]

Guys I have a query and it may sound stupid.

Can a CV be of 1 page, front & back? Or should it be of 1 page, mentioning all the details on the front page only?

This is the most common question MBA applicants ask. The top B-schools put a lot of emphasis on strategic resume formatting, but at the same time, let me also say that formatting alone will not get you noticed. You should be aware that an evaluator will spend less than a minute on your resume during the initial review, so you need to keep the language clear, the design uncluttered, and emphasise the points that can get you through the front door. If you have less than 8 years of work experience, you should ideally only create a one-page single sided resume.

 remember to:
1. Depict an upward progression across jobs (less space and weight for older jobs, and clear growth trajectory for recent roles)
Your interviewer might cross question you regarding the (or lack of) upward trajectory looking at your resume during the interview
2. Allocate only 2-3 bullets under each job if you have multiple jobs. Focus on creating high impact bullets
3. Highlight international exposure and experience in the resume (important)

idk how u came up with the may 31 conclusion, but there was one friendly member a few pages before said that he was unfortunately rejected from wl on may 1st-it indicates that at least one case was closed by the adcom.

personally, i guess the adcom should have come up with some conclusions to r1r2 wls, considering that deadline for r2 deposit has passed. I was just curious about why the adcom was so slow.

June 12 being the 2nd deposit date, I assume more spots will open after that as some folks who have deposited the first time around, will have chosen to go elsewhere. Unfortunately adcom would not know until after that date. Guessing that will trigger some WL people

Mine still says under review.

I don’t think Cornell will finalize before other school’s deposit deadline..
