Indian Male here. I am also mentally preparing myself to get rejected. What do you mean by “5 schools”, though?

I meant generally this is the no of schools everyone applies to at one go and this year even applying to these many schools , you are hardly getting any shortlist for interview

Got it. Completely agree with you. This year does seem like a bloodbath.

Someone just reported a cornell invitation. Also: Cornell had issues with Consortium applications this year. IT issue - which didn’t bring over applications properly. So could be part of the reason for invitation delays for those waiting - as they got backed up with consortium apps.

May I ask how did you find that out?

There was a diversity event last week. My friend who attended the Cornell’s Diversity conference last week ask adcomm - who let him know of this issue. Once again, this is for consortium applicants. I am assuming it may also have impacted normal apps as consortium apps got significantly delayed (it’s been 15 days and I still have no update from Cornell that they received my consortium application).
