There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
The interview was pretty straightforward. Their "conversational" approach definitely showed through in my experience. The interviewer was very friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable. She really wanted to understand what was driving my decision to pursue a MBA and specifically why I was applying to Darden. The interview lasted ~45 minutes in total and the last 5-7 minutes was just me asking her questions that were on my mind. More a personal thing, but one of the biggest drivers for me applying is to gain an international experience and that is a huge deal for Darden right now, so we talked a lot about the various global initiatives going on at Darden.
Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions or want to talk in more detail about my interview experience. Happy to discuss further.
Agree with Rosh11496, it was just tell me about yourself, work experience, hobbies, what do you want to get involved with at Darden, etc. Nothing out of left field. I think they took a particularly strong interest in personal stuff (i.e., stuff not listed on my resume).
Yes, I completed my entire application, including test scores and LORs, and was included in the early action period with a guaranteed interview. Another important note is that the interviews are truly blind, the interviewer did not know anything about my background at the outset of the interview.
no, its pure blind interview. In my experience, its more like a 20min monologue where you introduce yourself from A-Z and making sure your interviewer keeps engaged with your story. In addition after my monologue, we went through ~10min QnA afterwards.
I am done with my GMAT, scored a 740 and applying to Duke, Darden and Tuck. Applying in Early action rounds for all. Do connect with me on Linkedin. https://www.linkedin.com/in/dheerajkaushik
