I checked the Class of 2016 and Class of 2017's round 1 applicant stats and figured out that after interview acceptance rate for Darden is somewhere around %65. Am I right with this thesis?

Hey Guys,

I have my interview on Monday (2/9) and flying there tomorrow. I am not really taking my resume as they said they conduct blind interviews and don't really need a resume.

Any tips on that?

Also tips on dress code and what should I expect for anyone who recently interviewed? I read few posts a typical Darden interview seems to be all about talking about yourself and then why Darden. Any thing else I should know?

I had my interview a few days ago and it was very conversational. I don't really know how you can have a bad interview unless you are just afraid/bad at talking to people or know absolutely nothing about Darden. Makes me wonder what information they are really trying to glean from these interviews. Also makes me feel like they don't carry much weight in the process (unless you tank due to one of the previously mentioned reasons).

Anyone know what the conversion rate of an interview is at Darden? Based on past GMAT Club stats, it appears to be 60-70%.

I did most of my R2 applications in a 3 week period. Kellogg was just not in the picture then. If i don't get in this year, then next year for sure! I will justify being threadmaster then! :D

Can anyone tell me how could I come to Darden from Boston? Is one day enough? Thanks

When I visited in October, I flew USAirways. Connected in Philly and then took a little dinky puddle jumper to Charlottesville. My trip was about 5 hours, and I think the shortest trip takes around 4.5 hours. You could do it all in one day but you'd have a long day of travelling.

Seriously...

Darden just sent an "Upcoming Darden Events" e-mail. They should really avoid sending those e-mails during times like now when we're eagerly awaiting to hear back for interview invitations.
Great idea to send these notices, and great to promote ways to learn about the school...the timing is just totally off and throws every applicant who hasn't heard back in a loop.


Was the email about the EMBA program? That is the subject of the email that I received and want to make sure they aren't laying the ground work to push me towards EMBA. :)

Now that I've read through the mail - yeah it was about the EMBA.

Did everybody get the EMBA email? I saw a post in the last year's thread that one of the MBA applicants was offered an EMBA interview option and he was 30 years old. Just checking if everybody got this email or was it specifically sent to a few?
