quaserti. Indeed, one's test score is not indicative of that person's strength as a leader. I cannot stress enough how important it is to be thoughtful and purposeful with every component of the application - the qualitative strengths carry a lot of weight.

To the people here wondering "how is Harvard rejecting 760s" - the GMAT is, on the whole, a relatively minor part of the application.
Your work experience, other leadership experiences, and overall "story" is SO much more important. "Perfection" is not simply a high GPA and Gmat
Remember, Harvard is looking for "future leaders" - being good at a silly standardised test is a ridiculously poor indicator of that.
This is coming from someone with 770 GMAT, work experience in start-up and consulting, invited to interview - but I know that my 770 probably had a relatively small part in me getting an interview.
