Souvik interned at Apple and has gone through an application process at about 15 schools, most of which invited him for an interview, so he has done quite a few MBA interviews. He has also been interviewing like a maniac at various tech and consulting companies in the past few weeks (don't get him going about it)

Nope -- it is definitely not the deciding factor -- just one more piece of data for them. We've had clients feel like they nailed the interview (for many schools, not just HBS) who were ultimately denied, and also clients who felt they bombed and were admitted. So just be yourself and feel great that your odds went up from 11% to 50% by getting the invite! Congrats!
