Good luck to everyone who's just applied!! Does any one know when they are releasing the results? Can't see that info anywhere on the website... I'm guessing it's going to be sometime around mid-February?

Based on last year, the deadline was Jan 3, 2019, and invites and dings went out on Jan 28 and Jan 31. I would assume first week of February will be where dings and interviews are sent out, and will be similar to R1 this year where all decisions were announced on one day.

I'm guessing (based on a few "Direct from the Director" blog posts of previous years) that on Thursday, 16 January, the HBS director will come up with some information regarding the dates when the interview invites will be sent out.

Hey, don't be worried. HBS doesn't email applicants on the decision dates. That said, they do provide a few decision dates on the "Direct from the Director" blog.

Feb 4, 12pm EST is when R2 applicants will hear on whether they will be invited to interview or released from the process. Goodluck!

Hey everybody, need some help. We’re finding out whether we’re into round 2 on Tuesday. I’m leaving for vacation on the 19th of February till March 1st. Does anybody know for how many weeks the interviews run for? Ideally I’d like an interview date before or after my trip (that is, if I’m not released obviously).

Hi bb,

Is it possible to get a copy of the data in decision tracker? (it can be anonymized of course). The last 5 years of data would be ideal.

I want to create a graph that shows distribution of results by GMAT score. So GMAT score would be on the x-axis, and number of admitted/denied would be plotted on the y-axis.

E-gmat did a similar analysis (link below), but they only had ~200 data points for HBS. I believe you would have a much larger sample if you combined the last 2-3 years from Decision Tracker.

MBA Data Guru also does something similar (link below), but it doesn't show sample sizes at all. So its difficult to tell how representative those numbers are. Small sample sizes could really throw off the results in something like this.

I think the Avg GMAT score for each school can be misleading if you are considering to apply, but not sure if you stand a chance. This chart would show a more complete distribution of applicant scores. Additionally, it would show if the Adcoms have a cutoff/preference for scores. It could be applied to any school.

Probably to let themselves down if they get dinged and to be elated if they get an invite. Just be as positive as possible and hope you get something!

I’m old, I failed out of undergrad the first time, and I got my undergrad from a mediocre school, but I’m shooting my shot and hoping for the best!
