Any idea what sections we should divide our resume in for the application?
There is actually some flexibility when it comes to doing your MBA resume. I favor doing a "Professional Experience" section first and then an "Education" section. This way the adcoms can see your chronological progression.
After that, flexibility can come in. For example, some applicants have a ton of leadership experiences and civic engagement both at university and post grad. For those folks, having a dedicated section for that can be ideal. Conversely, if you do not have much in that category, having a separate section for that just calls attention more to your below average activity. For those folks, putting your university activities right in the Education section can work.
It is also useful to have an Additional Information section at the end of the resume and you can flex the name of this based on your inputs. Some folks may call this Additional Skills and Languages, or Civic Engagement & Interests.....
Folks with multiple job changes will have to dedicate more resume real estate to professional entries so that creates limitations on how many extra sections you can have given the resume for most people should just be one page for most schools.
So it's very dependent on you the applicant and what you want to showcase.
Most of my clients have some overlap and some customization.
Hope that helps.
