Hey People!

I am suppose to appear for an interview soon. Just had a query for those of you who have appeared for their interview already - What criterion did you choose while selecting the topic of presentation. I mean, one can go ahead and give a presentation on any relevant topic or it should be related to your work profile somehow.

Anyone got their spare two cents?

Thanks a ton!

wondering if anyone has any links to current or past student blogs a HEC? As an American, I'm a bit concerned about job placement with HEC being a non EU passport holder and wanted to get some hands on perspective. I really want to study in France - I'm applying to Insead as well but their 1 yr format is actually a deterrent because as a career switcher, I NEED that internship.

Hi Vivek,
Congrats on the interview invite. The presentation topic could be anything - it doesn't necessarily need to be related to your work profile. I believe the goal of interviewer is to assess your confidence and presentation skills.

Hope this helps.

Hi Angel,

HEC has a lot of exchange programs, so you can spend your final or second last semester at a US b-school.

About INSEAD, if memory serves me right, it does have an internship option for the January intake.

Hope the above helps.

Hey Binmahood,

Firstly, congrats on your admit! And, secondly, do we need to use the same presentation for both the interviews or a separate topics are required?

Thanks!

HEC has left it open to you. I have heard some people using different topics based on interviewers backgrounds. I used the same presentation for both interviews. Personally I think that is better since it is better to use presentation that you are comfortable with than guess what the interviewer will be interested. Plus it is less work :)

Thanks Vivek!

I used the same presentation for both the interviews and have not heard of anyone using two separate presentations. However, as Ninja said, I believe that you should be able to use two different presentations if you wish to because you don't need to send those to the school's admissions committee.
