No! I was at Copenhagen Business School before coming to the US, wonderful place. HEC of course is in a league of its own. Couple of things:

1) Do you know about your scholarship?
2) Is there a Whatsapp group for the admits? I can PM my cell number if there is, to add me to it

Thanks!

Elated to get a mail from HEC regarding my admission to HEC. Excited to meet you all.

Do we have a WhatsApp group or Facebook page for admitted folks?

Anyone else who got in?

Good to hear that.

1. We need to apply for scholarships after getting an official mail from HEC. There is a separate dashboard where we can do that.

2. Even I am looking for one. Lets create that if there isn’t any.

Aloha everyone!
I am just trying to understand the admissions procedure at HEC and similar schools. For the January intake, does it sound plausible to apply this late?

Anyone with any advice in general?

Hi wysiwyg,

I can remember that you just have to report your score in one of the fields of the online admission form, and attach a scanned copy of your TOEIC results certificate (the online interface allows you to attach some documents).

Thank you Pewi.
Thought it had the same process as the GMAT score.

Got another question about academic transcripts.
If I got it right, it has to be sent to the admission office.

Do we have to send just the final degree or the actual grades of each semester?

Thanks.

I believe you can still apply.

As for general advice, HEC follows a rolling admissions process so I'd advice you to apply sooner rather than later, provided that you are already prepared with a strong application.

All the very best to you! :-)

You're welcome!

Even if there are probably different possibilities, I sent a record per year (I had a synthesis at the end of each studying year) and this was nice!

Hi all, can someone help me answer the following:

- what's the rythm of the courses ? Is it 5 days a week, 8 hours a day ?
- Is it mandatory to live on campus ?
- According to you, what is the discriminating factor that HEC hopes to find in its students ?
- On the other hand, what is it that make HEC unique ? and better thant other Bschools in France ?

Thank you for your help.

Hey all!

Congratulations for all those who have already been admitted!

I am planning to apply in the upcoming deadline (August 15) and wanted someone to review my profile.

I am a 27-year old male from India. Scored 660 (Q49, V31) in my last GMAT. I scored 70% during my graduation. I graduated in Computer Science Engineering after which I joined the Teach For India Fellowship in April 2015. I completed my Fellowship in April 2017 and have been working as a Recruiter for Teach For India since then. (Total Work-ex = 37 months).

I am planning to give the GMAT once again in the first week of August and hope to score around 720.

Is my profile strong enough to be accepted for the Jan '19 intake?

I'm current student from J18, heres my 2 cents.. (I am currently on summer break so my feedback is based on first 2 cores)

- what's the rythm of the courses ? Is it 5 days a week, 8 hours a day ?

8am to 4pm (with usually 1 half day off) Mon - Thu
Friday is careers day but some Fridays are free (depends on how many careers events you sign up for)

- Is it mandatory to live on campus ?
No, but advisable (for first core at least)

- According to you, what is the discriminating factor that HEC hopes to find in its students ?
not one thing.. each student brings something unique to the batch but I would say international experience/exposure is one common thing I found in my batchmates

- On the other hand, what is it that make HEC unique ? and better thant other Bschools in France ?
It is a very French school as opposed to Insead (very global program)
If you want to live in France after school, HEC is your best shot!

One thing I would stress on and wish I did when I had time - WORK ON YOUR FRENCH!!

Thank you for your help.[/quote]

Hi prateekmathur18,

for over-represented backgrounds it is a bit risky. I would recommend applying for the Sep 2019 intake instead.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!
