sumitsarkar420 Hi
Congratulations on your excellent GMAT score.
Your overall profile is undeniably strong. However, I would like to offer some cautionary advice to not consider the GMAT as your golden ticket to top-tier MBA programs in India. While the GMAT is a crucial factor, it is only one of the many criteria that business schools use to evaluate applicants. In your case, your impressive score of 760 made up nicely for your weaker undergraduate performance. But to succeed at India's highly competitive MBA admits, you need more than just an outstanding GMAT score.
I believe you are eminently qualified for IIM A, and if I were in your shoes, I would consider solid preparation the ability to smoothly navigate IIM A's rigorous admissions process.
It is important that you outline your vision for the next 5-10 years. Given your HR background, how do you plan to use your skills and insights gained in the govt sector to make a difference in the organizations where you plan to work in the future? Well-researched insights and ambitious goals are critical to positioning yourself effectively.
Although many schools don't explicitly mention it, employability after the MBA is an important consideration. It's important to be prepared for the opportunities that come after the MBA. Many candidates who score above 750 but either end up on the waitlist or are rejected often stumble at this point because they have not sufficiently researched their goals strategy. Therefore, it is essential to address this area comprehensively.
Feel free to speak should you want professional advice on cracking applications and interviews.
