Some admission-related statistics from IIM-A's annual report: About 76% of those who applied were shortlisted for interviews for PGPX 2024–25 batch. About 24% of those who interviewed were offered an admit; another 20% waitlisted. Broadly, four shortlisted candidates competing for one seat.
Actual text: "A total of 941 applications were received for PGPX 2024–25 (327 in Round 1, 251 in Round 2, 363 in Round 3). About 714 were shortlisted for interviews (271 in Round-1, 204 in Round-2 and 239 in Round-3). Personal interviews were held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, and a few international candidates were interviewed through video conferencing. Final offers were made to 170 candidates, and 142 were wait-listed. Finally, 158 candidates (including two from the previous year’s deferrals) have joined the programme. Two candidates have deferred their admissions to the next batch starting in April 2025."

Could someone confirm if lower work ex could be a criteria for waitlist/non selection? From what I’ve observed, quite a few people under 5 YOE bracket have been waitlisted.

Strong chances of selection in A and C. Short listing is almost certain in all colleges at this score except maybe B. Prepare well for next steps after GMAT score and nothing to worry from profile side.
It’s not ’only’ about score. Since the IIMB explicitly mentions that they prefer candidates with less than 12 years of work experience (attaching link to website at the end) and in the current batch, the person with max work experience is 13 years (please check current batch profile on IIMB website), hence considering 12 years of work experience of person in question, it is said that it may be difficult in IIMB. Having said that, its a preference and not a rule, so you will always find exceptions. https://www.iimb.ac.in/sites/default/fi ... s-2025.pdf
