Hi Ankit!

Yes, I certainly believe it is very much important to contain your SoP within the word limit.
Also, I dont think that the space in application page would allow you to type / paste more than prescribed word limit.
If you only have your essays exceeded by 50-60 words, it should be a fairly easy task to re-phrase without affecting the essence of it.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any support on your applications.
Good luck :)

Hi Ankit

You should try and keep your SOP below the given limits. If not possible, upto 10% over the word limit is ok, but make sure that this 10% is really needed.

Please note that the application systems for the IIMB and IIMC applications work differently. At IIMB, you need to upload a file, so if you are a few words over the word limit, the system will accept it. The IIMC system, on the other hand, will only accept an SOP of 500 words and below strictly, as the words are entered in a textbox and counted by the system.

Hi Ankit,

You should not exceed the word limit. The word limit is there for a reason and you should stick to it. I know that it can be almost tempting to maintain it at 650-660 words, especially since the application system does not have any checks at this stage and allows you to submit it even with a higher word count.
However, your mantra should be Read-Edit-Repeat, till you can meet the word count.

Regards,
Tridisha

Hi everyone,

I am applying to IIMB EPGP and was wondering where to write our achievements in professional domain as they have space for writing roles only. Should I highlight achievements in the same field?

Thanks in advance

Hi Subhsngh0!

IIM B EPGP application portal does not have a specific place to mention your professional achievements. I would suggest you to briefly mention your top achievements at work in the 'Roles and Responsibility' tab. Also, you can pick your best ones and highlight them in the SoP as well. I believe this video might be of help to you.

I will have a work-ex of 4 years and 10 months by March 2021. So I'm falling short of the minimum requirement of 5 years by just 2 months. Any chance the admission committe will consider the application based on profile, acads and GMAT score?

I don't think so. They said that they are strict when it comes to work ex criteria.

Okay. Thanks! Saw a similar question posted in Q&A session of one of the webinars conducted by IIM A and the answer was to write to AdCom who might consider it. So wanted to confirm.

I have a valid GMAT score from Oct 2016. I used that score in R1 EPGP applicaton. Will this score stand against me in the application?

Hi Rachit,

As long as the GMAT score is valid (according to the admission committee's criteria), you should not worry.

Regards,
Tridisha

That would not be a problem as long as GMAT Score is valid.

IIM B is not flexible on the 5 yrs minimum experience criteria, at least that is what they discussed in their webinar.
However, you can write in and confirm the same.

Tridisha

By sept 10th they'll announce. They'll only inform selected candidates.
