It is strange that I also received an email from JS just now, however it is not an invitation but a note confirming my application is completed for review in 2nd round.

I submitted on 5th Oct, 2nd round and I am from China. Anyone received same email?

I'm a R1 applicant. After you apply, you get an email from your AO that confirm they've received your application. Then for me at least it was a long wait before an interview invite.
