Hey Ankur darn busy at work. Also other schools applications.looks like ISB thread is pretty happening. Good luck to all and all the best to R2 applicants like me.

Posted from GMAT ToolKit

Hey I can understand. With all the deadlines around, clubbed with the work at office, it gets crazy at times.
All the best for the application :)

All the best to R1 applicants!

Could someone please throw light on the questions for recommendations? I am trying to decide if I should go for one client recommendation along with a manager or both from my organization itself. Will help if I know what kind of questions are asked.

Source: ISB's application portal... you'll get to see these when you are applying.

1. Under what circumstances and for how long have you known the applicant? (50 words maximum)
2. Please rate the applicant's achievements when compared to those of his or her peers and mention the reference group with which you are making these comparisons. (100 words maximum)
3. Please describe, in brief, situations where the applicant displayed signs of leadership abilities and team skills. (200 words maximum)
4. Please mention two consistent strengths of the applicant and if possible provide instances where she/he demonstrated these strengths. (200 words maximum)
5. Please indicate two areas where the applicant has shown learning and improvement which would add value to his/her application to the ISB. (100 words maximum)
6. Please provide any other comments that you consider are relevant to the applicant's admission to the ISB, especially regarding the applicant's career in business/management. (200 words maximum)

Will your client put in the effort and write the reco properly? Is your client a white guy? Try to see if a reco from your client can safely expand the scope of information that your recos will give to ISB.

farhanc85 ... Dude where have you been?

Sooooo.... with 8 days to go and reject emails coming out (to guys who were not shortlisted) are you guys worried, trembling and scared to bits in general?

Awesomesauce!!

Here is a nifty decider to predict your chances: https://decider.skizzers.org

Just don't blame me if it makes you even more petrified

 did I cause you worry? I'm sorry guys :)

Hang in there, we can never tell what the future holds :)

Thanks. No he is an Indian client. Looking at the questions it makes more sense to have my direct managers write the letters.

Ok.. so last year I applied to a US college. I got two recommendations from my lead and manager to showcase my capability. But, they could not testify for my international exposure or rather my ability to work across borders... So I had a consultant working with us, who was a white guy from London write a third reco for me.

I got invited to interview by that US school.. I screwed that interview :die but the recommendations part, I got that write. See if you can do something similar... but ISB give you only 2 reco slots.
