I have one genuine doubt - why is everyone saying that deferrals this year won’t be as many as last year, given the corona situation is worse than the last year and classes are surely going to be held online. Regarding placements, I think every year ISB’s placements improve. Moreover, just 690 students (instead of 900), for 2020 intake, competing for the same jobs is another reason for the apparent increase in the average. So, there is definitely more chance of getting a better placement in 2022 intake than 2021 intake. Why would people, mostly from middle-class Indian households, pay 42 lakhs+ for online classes when there is a better opportunity of attending a regular curriculum? The only differences I see are - 250 students who deferred last year can’t defer this year and a surprise element regarding coronavirus last year.
*as many as those in last year
