If you have the mail then portal changes don’t matter. It behaves strangely sometimes.

I had my interview today morning!

Walk us through your profile!

Why do you want to do MBA now?

Given most of my experience was US/ EU Healthcare, I was asked questions as to what are the reasons that Healthcare/ HealthTech in India is not as big compared to EduTech/ FinTech?

What would be your recommendations/ business plan if you were to advise a startup focussed on healthcare that wishes to scale up its presence in India?

Further, I was asked what do you think is driving the investor sentiment for investing in EduTech/ FinTech in India?

Also, why don’t we see similar kind of investments in similar products (PayTM, BYJU) in the US vs India?

On top of it, I was asked what is your take on the valuation of PayTM IPO? Is it undervalued or overvalued and why?

What will be your biggest takeaway from ISB?

What were the biggest challenges that you faced while you were setting up the office for your organisation in Gurgaon? How did you do overcome them?

Hi "LavanyaPant",

You should prepare responses to the following questions:

1. Focus on what has changed – be it in terms of goals, career growth, voluntary initiatives, interest areas etc.
2. Be ready to answer why you waited again for ISB and not join some other program in the meantime.
3. Did you analyze why you were rejected last time?
4. Tell us a situation where you failed (apart from not getting into ISB last time) and what did you learn from the failure?
5. What would you do if you get rejected this time as well?
6. How has the industry you have been working changed over the last 2-4 years?

+++ <questions that can be asked to any applicant - reapplicant or not>

Our team of consultants (alums from ISB) would be happy to support you with mock interviews to prepare for your d-day interview.

Cheers and Best of Luck!

Preppie is back with the three interesting interview experiences of the week:

1) A candidate had experience in Virtual Reality (VR) and was grilled extensively on the new “Meta” launch and what Facebook has done previously with oculus.

2) In a panel of two interviewers, one interviewer was travelling and he took the interview in his car. The interviewers dug deep into the stock markets trading and specifically IRCTC. But the candidate was a PM aspirant who happened to have mentioned “stock investments” in their essay.

Our alums have been suggesting that ISB is facing an interviewer shortage and though there is no guarantee, our sources feel like interviews are going to spill over to December as well.

3) Another PM candidate didn’t have any PMs in their panel, the candidate felt it a tad bit difficult to explain the technicalities of their job in laymen terms as the panel was keen on knowing the work profile.

4) A candidate with 10+ years of work experience was interviewed for 78 minutes, but remember that correlation isn’t causation!

Unfortunately, we can’t disclose more details so please feel free to DMs if you need any help with mock interviews, training :) Practice makes perfect!

People who have received your interview invites for 13th and 14th November, on what date did you receive your mail of application verified and completed?

I have my interview scheduled on 14th of November. I got verified and completed on October 26th or so. I had first submitted on 12th September and I got an additional document mail and I submitted my ITR then.

there is no correlation to verification mail and interview invite.
