Both have good ROI. But the purpose of both is different

If you wish to go abroad for studies and work and make life there then go for MiM but if you have plan to come back to India in next 5 years to stay here and work then consider YL as primary choice

RushVine Yes, you are looking at a very focused career path. The best thing you can do for yourself to make it happen is to invest your time in highly focused internships and even explore professional opportunities should any entry-level roles come up.
My view is that the European master's programs can absolutely be targeted pathways toward what you want, but you will need to stay highly committed to building your career in that geography( learning the language, adapting to the local culture, and understanding the market etc) and still pull all the strings to get noticed by the companies you ultimately want to work for.
A much safer route, and one that would still give you multiple exit strategies should your dream not work out, is to get into more business management or generalist roles while continuing to look for opportunities at major retail companies or new high-growth brands, at least to start building a strong portfolio of work.
If you are keen on pursuing a master's now, make sure you carefully evaluate the pros and cons and understand what your fallback options would be should you eventually have to search for work on your own. Most successful senior leaders at top retail and luxury brands come from strong business, finance, or marketing backgrounds and have followed a more generalist career trajectory. Personally, I have more confidence in well-vetted generalist management tracks for international candidates than in highly specialised programs (except for some top finance programs).

WorkDrop What kind of market research work have you done? Would your background prove extremely attractive to future recruiters (what industry, what kind), and would they find value in mutually contributing to each other's growth by having you as an employee? Where are you currently lagging when you already have an MBA from India? Were you not able to hack growth on your own? What kind of growth opportunities are you expecting out of ISB that you find challenging to break into on your own merit?
These are all questions that need to be strategically and meticulously answered even for a profile evaluation.
You should also cast a wider net and add IIM A and IIM B PGP programs to your target list, as the outcomes from these programs are on par for your experience bracket. Target 675 or above to put forth a strong impression.

Work Experience: 6 years of professional experience within the Market Research industry, showcasing consistent progression and domain expertise.

I am specifically targeting the Indian School of Business (ISB) for a second MBA to pivot/accelerate my career.

Goal seems fine, but a little more detail would be required to confirm that.

Strong recommendation: Retake GRE and bring it to 320 at least. Without it, it would be trying luck with an unfavourable probability of getting a good chance at converting to ISB...

Explore your strength. If it’s closer to Quant than to Verbal, then you may find a very easy scope to improve Quant to 165.

I have said this before on this thread that audit profiles arenot the most favorite of the adcoms and these applicants have to work extra hard to showcase what unique value they bring to the MBA/PGP class. These profiles are still treated with a bit more respect than the oversaturated IT engineering background, but the challenge remains the same which is that most profiles fail to excite admissions committees. If you are coming from audit, you will need to find a way to show how your insights influenced decisions, redirected processes, or added strategic value otherwise your story risks getting lost in the pile. Show the adcoms how you think, what you have built, improved, or challenged. And if you can do that well, you are already ahead of the curve. You should also actively engage with potential post-MBA recruiters, industry experts and former audit MBA applicants to understand how your skills can bring value to organisations and use these insights to enrich your MBA essays and interviews.

The GRE score needs to be improved. Happy to advise further should you reach out.

Profile Eval for ISB PGP Co’27-28

I’m a Senior Consultant/Team Lead at a Gurgaon-based offshore boutique management consulting firm. I joined when it had ~25 employees and it’s now grown to ~250, and I’ve been here about 4 years. I lead a 15-member team and handle client-facing work spanning deal advisory, financial modeling, company valuation, and strategy, with exposure across US and KSA.

In total, I’ve led about 60+ engagements across all the projects that would span under the umbrella of Management Consulting. I’ve been awarded the Ace Manager twice in my tenure.

In this job, I’ve traveled to Riyadh 3 times for on-site client work, engaging directly with CXOs on the client side.

Beyond client work, I’ve been actively involved in recruiting at campuses from DU and tier 2 MBA institutes and training junior employees. I also lead the Cultural Committee in my firm, which organizes multiple employee engagement initiatives.

Before this, I spent ~2.8 years at KPMG Global Services in UK Funds Audit and left when I was a Senior Associate. I was also awarded the Rising Star which is awarded to the exceptional performers within 6 months of joining. (this was a campus placement from my undergrad)

I completed my BCom (Hons) from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University, with a CGPA of 6.73. I’ve also cleared CFA Level 1.

Extracurriculars:
1.⁠ ⁠I was a part of AIESEC for about 1 year and managed corporate relations raised over 2 Lakh INR (1st year of undergrad)
2.⁠ ⁠⁠Have been a part of the organizing committee a Global Partnership Summit (IYS) which had 600+ delegates spanning across 92 countries. (2nd Year of Undergrad)
3.⁠ ⁠⁠Led the publication of a book commemorating 8 years of the Government of India, released in 2022 (I was part of a youth-run organization here for a brief here, and led this initiative. This event involved nation leaders including Cabinet Ministers as the chief guests of the launch)
