Hi, I’m looking for the 2027 intake and I wish to get my profile evaluated. Feedback is welcome!
FunnyRock, hard to holistically evaluate a profile with a GMAT score.

Your undergrad score seems to be a bit modest. See if you can target 685+ on the GMAT.

I want to go for an MBA from ISB to pivot into Strategy consulting or PE/VC.
This needs discussion, especially the PE/VC goal.

Target GMAT score in excess of 655 so anything like 665 or more would be good. A higher score will help more

Although you should fetch call even score 645 too

About post MBA goal, they don’t look wrong but to make them right, you must be prepared for why them and what transferable skills are you bringing for meeting those goals. So a discussion may help you there

Hi prepapr,

Overall, this appears to be a strong profile with solid academics, relevant core industry experience, and credible employer brand names.
Your post-MBA goals within the pharma/healthcare space are logical and align naturally with your existing background, which strengthens the overall narrative for one-year MBA programs.

In addition to the programs you’ve already mentioned, you can also consider applying to IIMC MBAEx, IIML IPMX, and IIMI EPGP. As a benchmark, a GMAT FE score around 675 is typically close to the average for ISB, around 645 for IIMA/IIMB/IIMC, and roughly 625 for some of the other one-year MBA programs.

All the Best!

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

Hi,

Your GRE score is already reasonably close to the class average for many of these programs, although there is still room for improvement. A GMAT FE score above 685 could further strengthen your competitiveness.

Overall, the profile appears decent, but the frequent job switches will need to be explained carefully in your applications and interviews. I would also strongly recommend refining your post-MBA goals further, as they currently appear a bit too broad and generic.

All the Best!

Hi,

Your undergraduate GPA could become a point of concern, so if there were any specific reasons behind it, you should be prepared to address them clearly in your applications. On the positive side, international exposure is definitely a strong advantage.

Beyond that, a lot will depend on how effectively you position your experience and overall career trajectory. Your post-MBA goals currently appear somewhat broad, so it would help to refine them further. Also, do you have any prior exposure or relevant experience in PE/VC-related work?
To remain competitive for programs like ISB and the top IIM one-year MBAs, you should ideally target a GMAT FE score close to 685.

All the Best!

Hi conceptualaditya,

Your GMAT score and academics are both very strong. International exposure is definitely a positive, and coming from a medical background adds meaningful diversity to your overall profile.

The main thing I would suggest now is spending some time refining your post-MBA goals and developing greater clarity around the kind of roles and industry you want to target after the MBA.

All the Best!

prepapr: which universities did you graduate (Bachelors/ Masters) from?

On the professional front, your pharma focus is a strength. What was the rationale behind your job switches, and were there any promotions/ progressions?

Regarding career goals, an important point to keep in mind would be to demonstrate the 'why', your transferable skills, and how the MBA will help bridge gaps.

Aiming for a 675+ on the GMAT would be ideal, with a balanced sectional split.

All the best!

with GRE 324 itself you have pretty good chances of getting an Admit from ISB if all goes well.

This is a work experience-heavy profile for executive MBA programs. Strong sales exposure, large team handling, startup experience, and renewable/automation projects help differentiate you.

What works: 6 years sales experience with leadership exposure, Team handling in B2B and B2C, Startup attempt adds entrepreneurial angle, Renewable energy/automation projects give technical depth

Main bottlenecks
12th score (62%) is a visible weakness, UG academics are average, Need strong storytelling to position career growth and leadership impact

For 1-year programs like PGP, PGPX, EPGP, MBAEX, Target GMAT Focus: 675+ this helps compensate for low 12th score.

Overall with a strong GMAT, good leadership stories, and quantified business impact, this becomes a competitive profile for 1-year programs.

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

I have one correction, GMAT 675, but my 12 is just 78 percent, because I was prepping for AIPMT in which I got AIR 4952, didn’t study nothing for Physical education. And in Grad 62 percent as It is mbbs from gov college where scoring in 70s is difficult. I want to do healthcare consulting post MBA or work in pharma.
I am bit scared due the fact that despite scoring 99ss in CAT , I wasn’t denied admit from IIM L, K, S .
Is 12 and Grad gonna be the deal breaker??
