I received an email from Chris asking for proof that medium of instruction in my college was English. What have people submitted as proof? Other colleges don't ask for this or just ask for link to college website (kellogg) or want transcripts to be in English and that is enough. Any pointers would be helpful. Thx

Either the transcript needs to mention the mode of language was English or you need to procure a separate document from your undergrad school that the medium of instruction was indeed English. I also faced a similar situation and procured a bona fide letter from my institute, which worked.

R2 Applicant from India (1 YR program)
Waitlisted W/o Interview

Hey do you plan to speak to anyone in admissions, I got waitlisted too... Ill be working on my GMAT in the mean time... but I'm just confused if we will be interviewed or not. I believe all 1 YR MBA Applicants have already had an initial informal conversation with a member from AdCom. Any idea about the process and how soon would they have to decide to make sure all the Visa processing is done in time?

I am also an R2 applicant from India (1 yr program). Mine is still under review. Shall I get in touch with the ad-com ?

I received the same email from Chris. Was hoping to find some solution easier than letter from institute.

Livewire shows an interview invite for a R3 applicant.

R2 guys, any update ?

Applied in R2 2 Year MBA...no updates
I'm a 3rd rounder and it's only now that they are getting to our applications. I spoke with a lady on the phone about it..so i don't know about that person who got the invite

I am thinking the "round 3" applicants that are getting invites are Consortium applicants. Our app deadline was the same as round 3, but they review our apps before R3, based off the timeline of final decision guarantee (Feb 25 for Consortium vs end of march for non consortium). I received an Interview Invite as a consortium applicant on January 15.

Submitting an English Proficiency test score (TOEFL/ IELTS) was the only alternate solution provided by Chris.

Nothing here - Got invited to the Predictions Dinner though, hoping that is a good sign! (I have seen conflicting views on this - people getting invited that haven't even submitted a full application yet, some waited, and people who got admitted, but there is also an article that the Dean invites admitted students. So who knows...).

Can I give the TOEFL at the earliest available date (showing 9 Feb in my city) - would that be accepted or would we have had to give the TOEFL pre-application? Am going to write to Chris too, let's see what he says.

Seems a bit of an overkill. You can just get a letter from your college.

I requested a letter from my undergraduate institution stating that the method of instruction was English and submitted that to admissions last year. It was enough.

R2 (November) applicant, portal still shows under review. Still hopes or end of the road? I assume pretty much all invites would have surely gone out by now

To reiterate the official response:

"To be waived from the TOEFL, we would need some documentation from your university that the medium of instruction throughout your program was solely in English. If you choose to take and submit at TOEFL score, your application will then remain incomplete until we have received your score report. This will only affect your application in terms of the timing of review, as the Admissions Committee can only review a complete application."

I managed to get the letter from undergrad school in a day so it was sorted out pretty quickly.

I guess you should wait till the initial notification deadline 15 Feb... it seems they send out invites even after that

I am also in the same boat

As per various forums and live wire, there are very few interview invites for Round 2 compared to Round 1. I shall keep my hopes alive.

Good luck to you too.
