For events, I actively listened to their presentations and tried to ask thoughtful questions to make a good impression before connecting with them afterward.

LinkedIn would be the best way. Maybe try reaching out to 2-3 people per day until you get some luck

Just met one of the Kellogg Y2 students for a quick lunch the other day and he mentioned the challenge - lots of people are reaching out to him to connect on LinkedIn and through GMAT Club but he is just finishing his internship and working really hard and has barely any time. He needs to secure a return offer, so impressing the management is super critical and he is pouring all his time into the final deliverable.

He was actually suggesting to write a post on GMAT Club why R2 may be a better round for people if they have not done their research and networking by June because with internships it is really hard to find time.... but then in late Sept/October, the schedule should stabilize while at school and he will be able to help everyone reaching out. At the moment, he is just letting those pings go by.

So apologizes on behalf of the MBA Students - they are just too busy :cry:

I’m sorry, but that goal is just not going to mesh with the current administration in the US.

To give you an example, one of my clients who graduated from Harvard a few years ago, is doing everything he can to transfer his Einstein visa & get out of renewables. Half his team was laid off because there is no new permitting. Everything is canceled or on hold. 47 has decimated everything that Biden got on the map.

This client is having me work with one of his high potentials to get into a good MBA; her job is probably not going to last beyond December which is the end of the budget.

I’m sure that 47 declaring that carbon dioxide & greenhouse gases are not longer pollutants is not going to help. I’ve seen real disappointing results for those in this industry. Even for those with great test scores and profiles.

This is my point and I understand his point also it becomes hard to be employable or find job to an extent in that field in present conditions but it won’t remain so. That is one of the fastest growing segment. If this administration didn’t realise it, next will. Think of this in terms, stock market slump, or falling prices, now if you know it is indispensable, won’t you invest here for future returns!
