Hey @varunh, I was a R1 waitlist and got admitted in R2. Here are my 2 cents.
1. If you feel your GMAT/GRE is lower, work on that.
2. Send the admissions team/waitlist manager relevant professional/personal updates. Frequency varies but I did it once a month.
3. Show intent about why Ross is important to you and what can bring to the table to enrich the community.
4. Connect with current students/alumni and have meaningful conversations to know more about the Ross community.
5. Attend Ross events to show that you’re very interested in the program. Ask relevant questions if you have any during the sessions.

hi 1 more question. The waitlist form mentions if we have pressing offers from other schools. Assuming we do, is it a good idea to mention that? I know UM is kind of a no bs school so rather not spook em’

I can’t speak for the adcom but what I’ve heard during my interactions with a couple of waitlisted candidates who got in is that they added that info and mentioned about the deposit deadlines.. adcom took note of that and provided them with decisions before those deadlines. Hope that helps!

Definitely share if you’ve pressing deadlines from comparable schools. Offers from comparable schools will only make you look "desirable".

Not sure if this has been discussed before. I just discovered this chatroom today. Was glad to get an admit.

Curious how the scholarships look like for those of you who received the admit offer. I was told Ross is generous with scholarships but I was left disappointed ☹️

I believe they are generous in terms of how many they give out, ie rather than give a smaller number a large scholarship they give many more people a smaller one.
