Hi all, I have Scheduled my Interview for Next week. Do we need to do anything else besides uploading the resume to the portal?

wightknight, my allotted alum didn’t even reply and when I sent a mail to the adcoms, they said they’ve mailed him. I felt it’s kind of repetitive. If someone doesn’t want to take interviews (whatever reason, no judgement), then they simply won’t reply to the mails
I get what you mean. I sent an interview invite directly via Google meet which my interviewer didn’t respond to. And now I’m panicking if he got the mail itself or not. I prefer portal scheduled interviews so much more. Haas was a great experience that way.

Interviewed by an alum, class of 2022. Lasted 35 minutes.

1. Tell me about yourself. (Basically, walk me through your resume.)
2. Why MBA? Why now?
3. Why Ross?
4. Tell me about a time when you had to work with a difficult team member? How did you go about it?
5. Tell me about a time when you had to work with a diverse set of people? What did you learn from it?
7. Any questions for me?

Overall, a smooth-flowing conversation.

When did you last inform the adcom about this? If it has been a few days, I believe you should email them again about the issue considering the deadline to complete interviews is fast approaching.

Finished my interview earlier today. Sharing my debrief here -

My interview was with a FT MBA grad (class of 2009). Duration: ~50 min. The first 35 min were questions from his end with the last 15 min for any questions I had for him.

Questions asked -
1. Walk me through your resume
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Ross?
4. TMAT you were involved in a project where you had no background (had quite detailed follow up on questions on the work example)
5. TMAT you led a team and mentored someone (follow up question on how the team's diverse backgrounds/culture influenced the way we worked)
6. What approach do you take when receiving/providing feedback?

No specific question on career goals or how I plan on contributing to Ross. Ended up weaving those in as the conversation went on through some of the questions I had for the interviewer. The interview was quite conversational and thankfully connected with the interviewer on some of my interests. Hope this helps! All the best to those who are yet to complete their interview.

Interviewed on 10/27, Thu by FTMBA alumni (CO 2010). Duration ~ 30 min, very conversational (to the point that I am scared)
Was only asked Why Ross, Why MBA and Why the selected Goals, no behavioral, nothing about contributions, nothing about my resume and there was no time left for questions that I had for her. She shared her Ross experience. Should I be worried?

Interviewed on 10/30.

Why MBA, why Ross
1. Tell me about a time you convinced someone
2. Tell me about a time you motivated someone
3. Tell me about a time you made someone feel included
4. Tell me about a time you worked with someone with a different working style

Didn’t go that well for me because I think I just got bored midway due to the nature of questions. They all seemed pretty similar and I really struggled with finding new examples for each. Ultimately, for one, went with a general - oh I don’t have an example but this is what I’d do.

Is there anything we owe after the interview? I didn’t see anything but just wanted to make sure, since Ross isn’t aware of when we actually interview.

You can thank your interviewer. Besides that, your interviewer will submit the interview report within few days of your interview. After that you can just wait for "the day".

Wow. I almost had a similar experience during my Tepper interview where the interviewer asked pretty much TOO MANY similar questions on DEI, and what I as an candidate can do in that direction.

Oh my god really? I struggled so much with these questions. I mean, I had two examples, but ran out of them really fast. Felt like he kept picking the same type of question over and over again

Hi. I got interview last year and got rejected at the very end of the round 3. This year...I was hoping to receive an interview invite at least but no luck. How do I interpret this?

Hi,
I think I did not post my Tepper debrief unfortunately. I went on a holiday immediately after that interview and thus could not time to write my debrief. If you are preparing him/her, you can try to coach him on these questions- "How would you to contribute to DEI projects at Tepper? "How would you introduce gender parity at workplace?"
Besides this, rest of the questions were quite generic MBA interview questions.

If possible, could you provide your two cents on what makes for a good answer in a DEI/gender parity question?

Just had my Ross interview. Lasted more than 1 hour.
The start was why MBA? Why Ross?
Then it went deep into my work and behavioural questions related to work.
For the people here, does anyone know if the interview is a make or break?
My interviewer was an alum with 25+ years of experience

I guess unless Adcom themselves interview you, it can’t be make or break. It’s a part of your whole app and has some weightage assigned to it (though I also guess it isn’t as clearcut at 14.7% weightage cuz this process is so subjective)

i agree. interview is a very small part of the assessment - another data point for overall assessment. thats it.
