Happy New Year everyone! I'm way behind the ball on this, but I was WL for LGO as well. Found out via the portal ~3 or 4 days before R1 decision came out. As an engineer, MIT was the dream but I'm not sure if or when the waitlist status will change, so I'm not holding my breath.. Having said that, best of luck to everyone who applied R2!

I am Round 2 app as well. Applied to CEE but expecting a ding since undergrad grades are low

Let’s be optimistic! The application isn’t only about gpa (and you have an amazing gmat score to offset low undergrad grades). I applied to ORC. Does anyone know how many positions they have for each department? Posted from my mobile device

Not sure but I am sure ORC has the least applicants One of my friends, currently LGO'19, was invited to apply to LGO though she applied for only masters. Partly because of fit and partly because of low applicants in that profile.

Good to know! I had no idea of that. But there's probably less positions to ORC as well. It's super hard to find an alumni at linkedin from ORC, most people I see are from mechanical engineering department. What was your friend background? Did she work with statistics before lgo? I applied for EE&CS. Just skimmed through the last year thread for LGO and the invites started rolling in as soon as 5th Jan! Dont know what to assume from that.
