Happy New Year everyone!

I'm way behind the ball on this, but I was WL for LGO as well. Found out via the portal ~3 or 4 days before R1 decision came out. As an engineer, MIT was the dream but I'm not sure if or when the waitlist status will change, so I'm not holding my breath..

Having said that, best of luck to everyone who applied R2!

Let’s be optimistic! The application isn’t only about gpa (and you have an amazing gmat score to offset low undergrad grades).
I applied to ORC.
Does anyone know how many positions they have for each department?

Not sure but I am sure ORC has the least applicants :) One of my friends, currently LGO'19, was invited to apply to LGO though she applied for only masters. Partly because of fit and partly because of low applicants in that profile.

Good to know! I had no idea of that. But there's probably less positions to ORC as well. It's super hard to find an alumni at linkedin from ORC, most people I see are from mechanical engineering department.
What was your friend background? Did she work with statistics before lgo? It must had been super nice to be invited to apply!

I applied for EE&CS.
Just skimmed through the last year thread for LGO and the invites started rolling in as soon as 5th Jan! Dont know what to assume from that.

Sounds about right. That's what I noticed when I looked through threads from last couple years. Applied to EECS as well.

Yeah same here :/ . It would have been great if they had provided any official dates for interview invites like they did for Sloan MBA R1!

That was the Sloan fellows page. Pretty sure LGO hasn't gone out yet.

I also received an interview invite by email, but the registration link isn't working properly (503 error). I emailed LGO but no reply yet. Anyone else facing a similar problem?
