Hi... how to check application status? NUS application portal shows "submitted" instead of "under review" even after 2 weeks of applying (I applied on 30th March). By when should I expect to hear back from them? :|
It takes sometime for some people, nothing to worry about. You status will remain submitted for sometime. Not to worry about it.

I applied on 31st March and it just shows Application Processing since then.
Any idea on when to expect it to change?

The status will change when you are invited for the interview. Til then it will remain as Application Processing.

Well.. my background is in Mechanical Engg. BE from Bangalore Univ, and MS from U of Michigan (Ann Arbor), with 1 year at L&T Mumbai in-between.
Worked in a diesel engines company for almost six years in the US, moved back to India and joined an 'Impact Enterprise' (non-NGO) that works towards finding employment for persons with disabilities in India. Just completed one year last week.
Did all of the application work myself, including writing the essays. Recos were from former supervisors at my US job, since at the time of application, I had completed only a few months in my present role.
