In my application page, i still do not see a check mark next to essays and resume. There is still a image icon. Does it mean my application is still not viewed at all.? anyone in same boat or it has changed to check mark for everyone.?

Mine looks like that (image icon next to essays and resume) and I have been interviewed already.

I was wondering the same thing. However, I did notice that both essays appeared under "We have received the following documents from you" just last week. I think that means that they took a look at them at least...

Invitation to interview came today!!!! Applied round 3, literally at midnight on the deadline. And my recommendation letters came in late too. So don't stress people.

I got a call, but I noticed on MBA Livewire that some applicants got a generic email saying their status was up to date, but still got accepted. So an email isn't necessarily a bad sign.

Of course.

Undergrad: 3.2 GPA at top liberal arts college. I graduated nearly a year late because of an illness, but I just pointed this out in the optional essay.
GMAT: 690 (Q48 V38)
5 years work experience, pretty diverse background but I am currently in private equity. I think probably what stood out most about my candidacy was that I was offered my current role with no prior finance experience. At my former employer I had worked with some of the senior partners at my current firm on some non-finance matters and they were impressed with me, so they eventually offered me a position here. My recommender, one of these senior partners, wrote me a phenomenal recommendation highlighting this.

I have also been engaged in a lot of extracurriculars post-undergrad, particularly helping underserved communities.

I think NYU really does focus on EQ+IQ and fit, and so that is what I tried to convey in my essays and in the interview.

They encourage international applicants to apply by Nov, especially if you'd prefer to have an off-site interview. I applied in the same round last year and got waitlisted. FYI- I'm an international applicant too. :)

Hi ..I would like to have more clarity on off-site interview.What about interview pattern for other rounds like R-3 15th Jan I applied.I have also not received any reply and Result for R-3 is on 31st March.
Were you waitlisted without interview last year?

I confirm what hyperb0la has said. I'm an international applicant who applied R3 for NYU and got an off-site interview. But there were only a couple of dates available so an off-site interview is possible but it is harder to obtain dates. Also, if you're accepted, applying R3 gives you less time to settle everything in terms of visa, loans, accommodation and so on..
