Q: Is round 4 too late to apply to Oxford?

I am below the 3.5 GPA requirement too - so kinda worried about that angle. Although I do have a good GMAT.

I would still apply. I had a low GPA but had a strong GMAT with solid work experience, and I was admitted.

Ladies and gents,

How are you preparing for your interviews? I am watching videos on SBS in their Youtube page, reading their MBA brochure and of course my application and practising sample questions, along with checking out past interview reports. However, it sounds like SBS does not have a standard interview format and that it kind of depends on who is interviewing. Any tips on how to best prepare?

Thanks and good luck to you all!

I would say myself and most other applicants I met felt the interviews were pretty relaxed. Be prepared to answer a few behavioral questions, such as "explain a challenge you encountered at work and how you ever came it". Other questions revolved around my prior work experience and how this connected with my post-MBA ambitions.

Keep in mind the interviewer is likely looking to answer the following - "Is this a person that can bring positive contributions to the class and work well with classmates? And in the case of an applicant seeking employment post-MBA, "is this person employable post graduation?" - obviously here they recognize that career ambitions for many people change over the course of the program. Best of luck.

Three key objectives of the SBS interview process are to understand whether you are ready for an MBA, whether you are committed to this particular business school, and whether you know where you will go in life with this MBA. It goes without saying that nobody will hold you accountable in a year from now if your plans do indeed change. The interviewer is simply trying to better understand whether you have identified your strengths and weaknesses and whether you have the ability to contribute in classroom discussions.

Keeping these points in mind, be prepared to answer the classic questions: Why MBA? Why now? Why Oxford? Additionally, be prepared to talk about key learnings from at least one major achievement and one major setback in your career. My interview included these classic questions and the interviewer tried everything they could to make me feel comfortable with the interview process.

edit: Also remember to smile. And speak with confidence. Good luck!

I haven't but it's still very early in the day (10.10am). I got my interview invite around 3pm, so I don't think they'll send out decisions that early.

Just got an email saying I am successful, and a missed call from them.

No mention of any scholarships though, and I can't accept the offer on full fees. Does anyone know if it means i havent been awarded any?

Did anyone receive offer from Judge too? If so, have you made up your mind yet? Would love to hear your thoughts...

Great question! I would love to know the answer too. Unfortunately, I could only find the 2015 one too, no news on the 2016 one.

Hey people!

Congratulations to everyone who got the admit. Others, better things are on way :)

Got the admit on Friday! Apparently scholarship offers come within the next two weeks.

We should start a group, unless there already is one, in which case would someone please add me too?

Cheers!
