Hi All,

I have applied for MBA program in Schulich. I have one question regarding the MBA program in India. As MBA program in India entitles you to spend only 8 months in Canada, Will one be applicable for 3 year work permit post graduation? As far as i know one needs to have atleast 2 years of education in Canada to be eligible for a 3 year work permit. Any insights in this regard will be greatly helpful.

Hi All,

I received an admit for Schulich MBA in India. I am concerned about few things:
Since I will be going to Canada just for 8 months, will my work permit be for 3 years or 1 year or 8 months ?
If I have to look for an internship in Canada after first year (April 2018- August 2018) Will I be at disadvantage starting in India?
How are these programs allocated, as I remember I applied to Torronto as well. Do we have option to request a transfer of the program completely to Torronto?

I have heard that about work permit for this mba in india that there is no surity about whether u get 3 year or 1 year work permit..it totally depends on your case and your profile strength so this may be a drawback if u get 1 year work permit and not able to get Your PR within this duration as some of my friends have faced this situation...

I understand that in case you get a 1 year work permit, you have to apply for PR early. No difference other than that.

I also got offer of admission for Schulich Mba in India program. Please add me to the group, my no. Is 9999 767 930.
As far as work permit goes i had a discuzsion with Kirthi who too my interview. According to him majority of the students get 3 yr work permit.
So lets just hope we fall inthe majority otherwise we will get atleast 8 months work permit post graduation and most of the students get employment within 3 months of graduation. Wishing us all the very best in our endeavours....Amen!
