How is everyone holding up? Going through many mixed emotions! One day I'm checking classes and planning for next year, and the other day depressed and telling myself I don't stand a chance.

Guys a quick word on something— I think I should apply for round 2, but I am not done with my GMAT. Though I have a essay outline prepared, I don’t really know how to proceed with little time left. Can anyone help me with this?

For me, the waiting time is mentally definitely exhausting:D Trying to see it from the perspective that you can only win and not lose :)

In case of admission, does anyone know whether GSB normally calls all admits on the day of deadline or before/after?

From Clear Admit it looks like people admitted received a phone call the day before, so if it remains the same, acceptances will be out on Wednesday

Yup, that's our speculation as well: admits on Dec 11 and dings/WL on Dec 12.

While you all eagerly wait for your decisions, use chat room #2 to hang out will fellow applicants and calm your nerves.

Seems like Stanford sent out calls yesterday. Can we expect more calls or assume a ding? How has it been historically?

Hi Shrey, You should have a GMAT score before you submit your application. If you are unable to sit for the GMAT and obtain what you believe to be your best possible score before the upcoming R2 deadline (just a few days away now for GSB), then you should wait until R1 for the class of 2023, rather than applying R3 this cycle for the class of 2022. R3 is known for poorer odds at most schools vs. R1 or R2.

If you do wait until R1 for the class of 2023 to apply, you may benefit from a free consultation with a consultant as you prepare your essays and decide upon your strategic positioning. Free free to sign up for a free consultation here: https://admissionado.com/free-consultat ... sultation/

It doesn't sound like you are in a good position to submit in Round 2. Your competitors will have spent months on their materials and essays -- if you only have an outline and haven't even taken the GMAT once yet, it's a recipe for disaster, and the top schools are even harder to get into as a reapplicant.

Take your time, take the GMAT a FEW times to show effort if you don't get a score above their average the first time... or then switch the GRE if your GMAT scores aren't in range, and really do an excellent job with your essays and then shoot for Round 1 next year.

Best of luck.

Hi Admissionado

I am a similar situation and working on my GMAT currently but I was aiming to apply for R3. I do understand it has poorer odds relative to R1 next year, but based on my career plan, I would really not like to lose a year. You seem to imply that admission consultants only work with R1 or R2. Is that a correct interpretation? I will soon start the process of shortlisting a consultant but this made me wonder if most consultants are ok to work with R3 applicants or not?

My existing plan is, I would prepare my application for R3 and if I can hit my target score, I would apply R3, if I don't, I would wait for R1 for the next batch. Does this sound like a good strategy? Normally in such situations do consultants help you refine your application further given that you have additional time.

Hi Erika, the "Reapplicant" keyword caught my attention there. Can you please elaborate on this a bit more. Further to the info above, If I do get my application in on time for R3 but do not make it, I was hoping to re-apply R1. I wonder if I would be eligible to do so and what are the implications of this?

Thanks
