Looks like decisions came out around 5 pm Tepper time last round. Does someone want to make a timer for us counting down the hours until 5pm ET on the 25th?

Same here...Although it is hard to accept, I think the game is over for us in Tepper!

After my visit to Tepper and had a small talk with James Frick, he informed me that they were still sending some interview invitations. Frankly speaking, after this speech, my hope to get an invitation was boosted because I thought I showed my passion for school by visiting even I could not get an invitation. It has been more than 13 days and still I could not get any message regarding of interview.

Was waitlisted after interview in R1. Checked the portal, and an updated decision letter is posted which says I continue to be in the waitlist. Withdrawn the application finally.

Received invite to interview (R3 applicant)

Same here, just got it 30 min ago or so. Already set up an on-campus interview date with all of the extras. Good luck!

Ask the adcom to connect you with a current student (preferably one interested in a similar focus) and ask that student as much as you can about the program. That will give you a lot of good talking points for your interview.

I have done that. Reached out to a recent grad who is at McK. I do have good pointers from him, will also connect this weekend and talk.

How was your interview experience?

Are you wondering what the hot MBA jobs of the future will be? Take a look at these six up-and-coming jobs that US News & World Report highlights as well-suited for business school graduates. Not surprising, they all command solid salaries, and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts hiring growth in these industries.
Here are US News’s top picks:
Operations research analyst: Higher-level operations research analysts usually have an MBA with a specialization in production and operations management. Consider top schools, such as University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the Michigan Ross School of Business.

IT Manager: These professionals supervise employees, communicate with internal executives and outside vendors as well as plan various tech upgrades for their employer. Check out the excellent program for information systems at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Management Analyst: These professionals provide feedback on improving an organization’s efficiency and profitability. Competitive candidates have a few years of experience in operations, and have earned an MBA with a focus on management. Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School have top programs.?

Financial analyst: These professionals help companies determine when to buy and sell investments.  The Chicago Booth School of Business and the NYU Stern School of Business offer top finance programs.

HR specialist: These professionals work with a company’s employees, by doing anything from recruiting them to training them to explaining their benefits. HR specialists don’t need an MBA, but the degree will help them stand out from the competition.

Information security analyst: These analysts monitor and protect an organization’s computer network and systems. Companies prefer to hire those with an MBA. The UT McCombs School of Business and Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business are top-notch programs for studying information systems.

As you can see, employers are looking for skilled managers to lead the way in today’s global economy. Business and management degrees can be a powerful driver of confidence and opportunity to achieve those ambitious goals.

How was your interview experience?

The interview was extremely friendly- very conversational and relaxed. Think of it more like a conversation with a friend about why you want to go to business school.

The earlier posts in this forum that listed the interview questions were pretty much spot on with my experience, but for convenience sake, here are a few that I got:
1) Why business school?
2) Why is now the right time for you to go to business school?
3) Why Tepper?
4) How do you work in teams?
5) Tell me about your role as a team leader (I lead a team at work)
6) Tell me about your extracurricular activities. How have they helped you in the workplace?
7) Talk about your greatest accomplishment at work.
8) What questions do you have for me?

As you can see, nothing out of the ordinary. They just want to make sure that you really know why you want to be there and that you've got something to bring to the table.

Good luck!

For R3 people - I submitted my application on March 10, and received an interview invite yesterday, March 18.

Before I submitted I had set up a lunch meeting with Kelly Wilson for the 6th but unfortunately had to cancel it last-minute (when she was kind enough to schedule it with ONE DAY of notice!) due to inclement weather. Fortunately that did not impact me receiving the invite...! I've yet to schedule the interview but will follow up here once I do, and I'll likely meet Kelly then as well.
