Thanks!

So, they ask to provide them with a hardcopy of my undergraduate degree certificate, but I have only one copy and I don't want to lose it over mail. And my school doesn't issue additional copies as far as I know. Was anyone in a similar situation?

Hello kvazar,

Even my undergraduate college just provides one official copy. But, when I called them, they agreed to mail a hard copy of attested transcripts to the school.

So, I would advice first consult your school. I am sure they will send the transcripts. You just have to incur the mailing and attestation charges. It is better for your school to mail UCLA, as it is more authentic.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Harshita.

P.S How many Indians from this group have received an invite for an interview till now?

Hi! I have the same situation. I wrote to adcom, and they said that if you want to get it back then you should specify the same in the mail package and also leave a returning address. They will send it to the specified address after reviewing it.

I believe they come in waves. There is still some hope.

I just wish its not region-wise. In that case, we are doomed.

I wrote to them regarding this and they responded that they will accept attested copies of my official documents if they are issued by the university. So you can get a copy of your degree certificate attested by university and send that. :)

Received an invite today a little before 8pm ET.

For anyone in the know, there's really no difference or bias between an on-campus interview and a skype interview. Right?

Good luck everyone!

I just realized I did something really stupid. One of my target school advised me to use recommenders' personal email to avoid email not getting delivered. So that's what I did with Anderson too, I used my recommender' personal email.... is this a dealbreaker FUBAR mistake?? I'm so stressed now, no news about the application yet. It just says 'submitted' no matter how many times I refresh the page...

Dont think so. if you have not stated a reason for the same, please write to adcom and get it clarified. Give them a valid reason for using personal mail ID. They do consider such cases.

Do you think there is a correlation between the submission day and the invites? Seems like mostly people who applied close to the deadline received and invite (but it might just be most of the applicants).
