Why does every school make Indian applicants wait the longest? This wait is killing me.

For R1, got an invite two weeks before the decision deadline and got in. So, don't fret :) Indian app here.

Congrats :-D
Are the interview slots available in feb 1st, 2nd, 3rd weeks - basically are they spread out?
Also can you tell where you are from - planning to interview on campus/off campus?

Hi! Sorry, missed this earlier.

When I signed up for my interview, the only available slots were in the first week of February. I'm sure that'll change if it hasn't already.

I'm on the East Coast—in South Carolina. Planning to interview on campus. It's a relatively easy drive. Hope to see some of you there!

Congratulations!!! :) All the best for the interview!

To all: Any idea whether all the east coast invites been sent at this point? Are there any east coast applicants here awaiting an invite?..

I see a number of invites sent to US based candidates on clearadmit, but practically none for International candidates. I guess in such times, you keep waiting until you hear from the school.

While all of us are waiting to hear back from Darden. Wanted to ask all international prospectives on their view in regards to recent steps by Trump. Also what kind of repercussions do you all think it will have on the admission process. And has these steps from Trump deterred anyone from looking at Darden (and other schools) for MBA.

Well, you can never fully predict what's going to happen under Trump, I doubt that he himself knows a lot either :P However, I wouldn't be too concerned about the employment prospects in the US, they might even get better as Trump is in favor of highly skilled migrants and might change the ridiculous lottery based h1b process for the better

Coming from Vietnam, I am definitely concerned. This guy is unpredictable, making crazy policies, uncluding the upcoming changes in H-1B. However, much as I hate to admit it, the potential changes to raise the minimum salary for H-1B will benefit most MBA grads.

I was thinking something along similar lines. But the leaked draft executive order shows a slightly different picture. The order, if signed, will reverse the OPT extension for STEM students (highly skilled migrants and students out of top US Universities).
