Could someone please help me with a LOR question?

Wharton is a one-off with the LOR submitted on the portal itself. The guidelines mention 300 words (7500 chars max). My recommender is asking if they have to chop and slice down to 300 or if they're within 350 words the portal will validate and accept?

Not sure what to tell my recommender ... 7500 chars is a ton but not sure if the portal validates for words or characters. Thanks!

Your recommender can check it out in the link that s/he receives (sorry, couldn't think of a better solution :-) )

paulblartmallcop this is a helpful link https://aringo.com/current-recommender-questions/
See Wharton - at the bottom it indicates 7500 text box max
So going over should be OK, but it's not a bad idea to check with admissions.
It really varies from school to school on the policy for recommenders going over word limit ie IESE and Texas allow 200 more words, HBS about 100 more, but Kellogg is very firm on 300. So would not assume they would necessarily read past 300. probably but its a simple email to put your mind at ease.

In the Wharton app's essay section, it says the number of words remainings for each box. Is it possible to submit if I have 503 words or is it a strict 500 word cut off that wouldnt even allow me to submit unless i trim things down?

I'm pretty sure it's a hard cut off. I think they are looking for clear, concise communication and while 3 words may not seem like a lot, it still falls outside of their requirements. I'm sure you can edit to get below the 500 word threshold.

I activated a GMAT score that I had canceled as the one I would submit for my applications. At that time I didn't put any AWA as it was not graded it. My official score report has been released to the schools and includes my AWA.

Do I need to email admission to let them know or they will look at it? Also, does the portal update automatically to reflect the official score report was received?

I got a 6 on my AWA so wondering if I should reach out just to update. Thanks!
