Hi guys, I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, but my circumstances are quite unique and I am extremely upset of the unfair treatment of me that has happened. Could someone please tell me what to do? Here is a summary of my situation:
So I sat my GMAT on Thursday, Oct 27. I was not happy with my score, but I decided to accept my score at the exam venue and then think about it for 24 hours. I know I have 72 hours to cancel my score. On the next day, Friday Oct 28, at night time (local time), I decided I wanted to cancel my score after a day's worth of contemplation. However, the mba website was experiencing technical errors, they could not cancel scores; each time I tried to click on cancel score, there was an error. The website itself also had a message that said they were suffering from technical errors. I have screenshots of this as proof. The website said to call customer service to have my scores cancelled, but being a Friday night, office hours were long closed. So I emailed them explaining them my situation. I specifically mentioned that it was Friday night (local time) and that I could NOT phone customer service. Long and behold, the email response I received was that I had to call customer service, even though I could not! So I thought perhaps the error will get fixed soon and waited, but the error continued to persist, in fact, the error was only fixed on Nov 1, after the 72 hour limit. So, I called up customer service on Monday, Oct 31 (which was already past my 72 hours) to explain my situation. The person on the phone said that it was Pearson's responsibility and that they passed my situation onto their staff to have my scores cancelled and told me to wait 1-2 business days. Just now, I received an email saying my case was resolved, however my scores could NOT be cancelled because I requested it past the 72 hour time limit.
I am currently extremely upset and furious at this fiasco. As I said, the website had an error and it was the weekend so I could not phone customer support, how can I possibly cancel my score if Pearson does not offer me the option to?
I've tried multiple times to contact them through email but all I've been getting is the same response: "We are sorry, since the 72 hours has passed, we cannot cancel your scores and remove them from your score report." I feel like I'm talking to a machine, rather than accepting the blame for THEIR fault, they are trying to make it seem I did not cancel my scores within the 72 hour limit.
Please, can someone tell me who else I can contact to resolve this issue? Thank you so much!
