Hey Hritikroshan,

For Tier 1 schools ( HEC, St. Gallen, LBS), aim for a 700+ GMAT or a 325+ GRE.
For competitive schools ( ESSEC, ESCP), a 680+GMAT, 315+ GRE will work.
For safe schools ( Copenhagen, SSL), a 650+ GMAT and 305+ GRE should work.

Note that all these stats are contingent on your profile and GMAT/GRE score are never the standalone factors to either get accepted or be rejected from a school.
In case you are thinking which test is more suitable for you, you can check out this link : https://www.mim-essay.com/blog/gre-vs-gmat/

Put simply, the GRE is a signal that the person wants to avoid quants and, more generally, won't sweat the hard stuff.

GMAT is presumably a more accurate predictor, especially for the quant section. Admissions people know this, and take it to consideration when making their decisions.

For more information google

It would be helpful if gmatclub had a list of universities and the test (GMAT or GRE) that they "prefer", if such views actually exist.

The most common requirement while taking abroad admission. GRE and GMAT are must for almost all the good schools. i want to know the average GRE and GMAT score for the admissions.

Most schools publish this information on their admissions websites. Some schools don't publish average GRE scores, but you should still be able to find a range (or infer one from the scores at comparable schools).

If you're specifically wondering about the difference between GRE scores for admission and GMAT scores for admission, though, you may find this article of interest: https://poetsandquants.com/2018/05/31/c ... ored-blogs It seems to be behind a paywall now, but from memory, the gist is that many schools accept "relatively lower" GRE scores from applicants than GMAT scores. But there isn't enough information to definitively conclude that everyone should switch to GRE!

Here's something else about the GMAT versus the GRE, with some notes on scoring:
