Whatever i will say is very subjective.

How does the adcom communicate etc. - has no bearing in the future. Feel good factors, they do well, if the adcom budget and resource are high.

FUQUA - very close knit community , great! I do not have personal experience but whatever i have heard from my network, one of the best if you want close knit connections - i would say good for less work experience people.

But, in the end, it will be mostly your 16+ years of experience which will help you the most.

Now coming to the main point - analytics, supply chain industry, and operations management - i do not see a single reason to not to chose MIT. I believe you know why it is named SLOAN - search if not. Also, the access to the great schools under MIT, level of research, and tech scene is extraordinary. If your future is more towards research or tech (analytics, SC, operations management) you can pick MIT.

I will be in Boston in 2023, so you can DM me if you chose MIT. Good Luck!

No decision is good or bad unless you make it good or bad!

Congratulations on your admits.

I think a number of schools do a good job with their admissions teams being super nice and super friendly. I really appreciate it and value it. I think it’s a great move to present your admissions team as a welcome committee or people who cheer for you as opposed to gatekeepers designed to keep people out. A number of times, including my own experience, I have seen people choose a program where they felt more welcomed, more accepted, and more needed. I think it’s a very natural human feeling.

However, there is a flipside to this, I would say that once you get admitted, you will never ever really talk to the admissions team. In small schools, if you had a relationship with admissions officer, you can cultivate it further and develop it but in large programs there’s no reason for you to talk to the admissions team unless you are one of the interviewers or ambassadors. That will probably take about 1% of your time. And the culture of the admissions team doesn’t really translate into the schools culture. I have seen combinations of amazing admissions teams mixed with inadequate and inapt administration. It’s disappointing when administration is not capable but luckily that’s only the backdrop and the big picture is your classmates and your professors.

Sorry I’m going all philosophical here on you but the point I’m trying to get across is that you should give very little weight to how welcoming the admissions team is.

Instead, I would probably focus on Your classmates and professors. Networks are important and getting a sense from alumni is helpful. I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience with a couple of the MIT folks. Maybe just a bad Apple?

Thank you for that enlightenment 😃
I wouldn’t call it philosophical but rather practical. Will try to talk to more alumni and try to visit the campus.

I love being a Fuqua student. The community as a whole is incredible. Although I am in the MS in Quantitative Management program, I have built relationships with folks in the Daytime MBA, Executive MBA, etc. It really is one big team.

Totally agree with you, FUQUA has a tight knit community and I cant go wrong with it.
My indecisiveness originates from the fact that other two schools are a tier above FUQUA.

I was in a similar predicament (Kellogg vs Fuqua) last year and had to defer my admits to 2022 because of some personal issues. I realized I'll have a year to decide and I was wrong - back at the same place, unsure of the right answer!

I have time till this Friday and I'm leaning towards Kellogg. The Fuqua WEMBA somehow gave me a part time MBA feel while I'm looking to connect with senior execs and the like who can inspire and influence me. And well, you can't go wrong with the stronger brand either.

On the other hand, Fuqua curriculum has more wiggle room and you can do a few more voluntary things (case studies, consulting etc).

I might still lean to Kellogg.
